haha, Disney always advertised that back when they released tons of direct-to-DVD sequels like it was the novel thing of the future. I'm okay if the actor has passed like in TS3 how Jim's friend is gonna do Slinky now that Jim's gone.

But I'm thinking Will may be in flashback scenes... where did you get the info?

Arrow Pirates 4 is still on despite rumors

Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub at Collier.com attended a Prince of Persia event and slipped in a few questions about Pirates 4:
Quote:
LINK With my limited time I decided to ask Mr. Bruckheimer three questions: I asked what’s up with the script, when are they going to shoot the film, and did the regime change cause any problems. He told me they’ve gotten the script, the management change will not affect the production, and he believes they’ll be filming next year.

It could be a ploy. If Orlando Bloom thinks that they'll re-cast his role, instead of writing the character out, he could return. It's not like his career is going gangbusters right now.

My feeling about this is that if Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightly want to do quick walk-on cameos, then fine. If not, just leave them out and move on! The story of Will and Elizabeth is complete now. The franchise should go on to something else... some "Further Adventures of Jack Sparrow and His Arch-Nemesis, Captain Barbossa".

Also, I think the movies would be much more enjoyable as one-offs. Like the old Sinbad The Sailor movies. So please, Mr. Bruckheimer, please don't try to cram-a-lamm four or five movies into a trilogy.

^I agree! If he wants trilogies, do 1-3, STOP, then do 4-6

But please don't make this the STARWARS of pirate films. I dont think i could handle and entire saga of POTC!

I don't understand why there is so much hate toward the last two sequels of POTC. The first is great because it was the first and because it was the first time we ever saw anything like that. Part 2 and 3 are also very good but because these sequels were not originally planned some brainstorming needed to be done and quick since they wanted to get these movies out while people were still going ga ga over the first one, me very much included. It's the same thing like with starwars, the fans create these expectations in their heads (because we all can make these movies right!) but when the final product comes out, its not what we imagined and we are let done. I didn't know what to expect from two or three but I enjoyed what I got, I fell in love with these characters. I trust them with this fourth movie, to me they haven't let me down.

Well, I go tmy info off of Wikipedia, which as we know is not as reliable as we would like it to be. But still, Will is Orlandos character, no one else's.

Default Rob Marshall to direct?

Rob Marshall plans to direct Pirates 4

Rob Marshall Confirmed as Director of Pirates of the Caribbean 4

First Showing
Rob Marshall recently appeared at a DGA screening of his new film Nine and, according to a report on Ain't It Cool News, confirmed that Pirates of the Caribbean was next for him. Here's what AICN's reader said:
Quote:
When asked about his next project (by Nora Ephron, who hosted the Q&A), he replied "Y'know, it's something that I was offered and never in the world thought I would do but then I was like 'why not?'… I'm doing 'Pirates of the Caribbean…." That's right– Rob Marshall is directing the next installment of the 'Pirates' franchise. The only additional thing he mentioned about it was that he had a wonderful meeting with Johnny a little while ago and that they're both excited to work together.
While that's hardly an official confirmation from Disney, it does sound like Marshall is on-board as long as Disney gets this into production in 2010 as originally planned.
