It would have been around the same time as the show with the Osmonds. I think it may have been closer to the time Napeoleon and Samatha was made.

Remember they did a WWofD show with the Osmond Brothers and singer J.P. Morgan (think that was her name). It was fun to watch, but staged. Donny got separated from the rest of the boys and they had to find him before they could do the night time show. J.P. was singing on the Mark Twain. Personally, I loved that show. It was done to promote the park, and used the stars as a way to tell a story of, "Come to Disneyland and see these attractions." That is something that Walt had always done.

The point I was trying to make too, is that Jodie Foster had (has) a mind of her own and look how far that has gotten her. Will Miley ever do anything close to the work of Jodie Foster if she allows herself to be pushed around or influenced by what her father may want for her?

It just sucks for the guests vacationing there that weekend. Even my younger cousins who watched the show said how that is just dumb.

1.Its messed up to planned vacationers
2.Its messed up for people paying that much when they most likely wont really see her.

Ok, to counter against some rants against her. Dont hate cause some of us didnt get a special birthday party on our 16th. But the fact is, she has money, and Disney offers the park to be bought out for the day. So if theres anyone to blame, blame Disney for that cause I know if I had money, I'd might do the same, just because I could. But who knows, maybe she doesnt know shes doing this, she is only 15 and I highly doubt that she just went up to the ticket booth herself and said "I wanna buy the park for the day and I want it now!" I'm sure someone who works for her set it up. So like I said "MAYBE" she didnt plan on this whole thing.

Anyway, back to the rant, I do share your guys' feelings towards the fact she shouldnt be special, I mean we see every other celebrity just walking around the park waiting in line like everyone else, so why should she, but it does come back to the fact that she has the money and Disney loves her, so its alright according to them.

I still find it ridiculous that she's getting the park to herself. Just give it a couple of years. She and the Jonas Brothers will have no careers. Usually big named musicians/bands don't last very long (aka NSYNC, Spice Girls even if they had a reunion tour, etc.)

I can understand the point of view on both sides of this issue. I personally fall into the category of many on VF who are Disney/Disneyland purists. It's unfortunate situation that's very contraversial and almost is set up to cause drama. There will be a ton of people who want to go to Disneyland on Oct. 5 for a number of reasons. For the kids who do like Hannah Montana and don't get to go, there will be a lot of disappointment. For families who just want to see DL, there will be a lot of disappointment. On one side of things, it could be said that it is only one day, there are some people who really want to see her, people could go on other days etc. However, there really are a lot of people who can only go at very specific days/times because of commitments. I think the fact that Disney didn't announce it on the DL site sooner and really get the word out about it if they did insist on having it, was worst of all. They needed to give families a chance to change their plans and reservations.

I also think that another reason so much frustration is coming about this event is that it is just centered around one person and in that way it seems much more unnecessary than a group of people who are celebrating. For example, there have been CM parties, parties for special groups, and celebrities in the park for special occasions like Christmas. I think the reason these events aren't frowned upon as much is because they are in fact groups of people and Disneyland is still considered the main event instead of a Disney Channel celebrity. These groups are just having fun in the park or are part of a larger celebration in the park. In the latter case, the general public can still come to the park. I went to DL on Christmas Day and New Years last year and while the parks were busy, we were still able to do what we wanted and have an enjoyable time for the right price. On a side note, I do agree that if Disneyland should be focused on a single person it should by all means be Walt, but from what I have read and heard about Walt he wouldn't want everyone just focusing on him.

Another thing in my opinion is that a lot of the anger dictated toward this event comes from the fact that there have been a number of changes and many people want to keep the classic Disney feel of Disneyland alive. I just hope people remember that there is still a lot of that feeling alive when you go to the park. There have been some changes, but it is still there. I am a college student and I want to show my future family Disneyland and the things that have made and still make it so special.

The bottom line is this event will happen, but I'm guessing the Disney employees will get an earful about this from a lot of disappointed folks and that could very well prevent another event like this happening in the future. At the very least, if they do something like this, maybe they will be better about giving people the time and info in time to reschedule. It is very unfortunate for families that can't reschedule their vacation time at DL and I feel for them.

Jonas Brothers will. They are the only band in Disney that has actual talent. 3 Talented brothers.

Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana birthday tickets sell out Orange County Register You probably figured it was going to happen sooner rather than later, but Disney spokesman John McClintock confirmed today that tickets for Mile Cyrus’ birthday bash at Disneyland sold out this week. Five thousand fans — or their parents — forked over $250 for the privilege of hanging out with Cyrus in the park Oct. 5, which will be closed to other visitors that evening. I just saw Hillary Duff on the new Bonnie Hunt Show today and when Bonnie asked her if she was going to have a big party for her 21st birthday she said that she really only wanted a small thing with family and a few friends ("I only have a few close friends"). Bonnie said that sometimes producers and such will throw you a party and she said that she wasn't like that!
