I find it completely mind blowing. This irritates me as much as when they closed off Fantasyland once for several hours so that Oprah's "kids" could play there. This sort of thing is not fair and I am so disappointed that it continues to happen.

What I find goofy about this whole thing is that Miley already had her Sweet Sixteen. There were pictures of it in People Magazine. So basically, this whole Disneyland thing is just a big marketing scheme. Miley most likely had no choice in the matter.

EDIT: Whoops, never mind. I guess that was for her 15th birthday.

k so if you go to her page, it's supposedly a fundraiser thing. STILL THOUGH! Do it afterhours, don't leave all the other families out! Or let people in and hold special activites within the park. $250 is insane!

I don't think its fair either. From the article, it sounds like she's not even gonna be there. Am i wrong? Please correct me if I am. I don't think they should close the park for her birthday....it takes time from someones vacation that they payed a lot for.

Let's be thankful though. This is only one night. Imagine: "Come to Disneyland park in 2009! It's the year of Miley Cyrus!" And then they drag it on an extra year like YOAMD.

All I have to say about this, is that this is just sooo messed up. -_- Words cannot explain how messed up this is.
She could have her b-day somewhere else! not with a bunch of strangers she doesn't even know! -.- Makes me mad and its sad that they're doing this. People have bigger and better things they could buy with $250 instead of going and seeing her. "Whoopy... we're going to see Miley Cyrus at DL." A day goes by and you think about it that it was a total waste to go see her at DL. -.- I find it very messed up for Disney to be doing this!!! >_<

I find this whole thing completely ridiculous (and that's a sever understatement about how I really feel). As far as I am concerned Walt is the focus of Disney, not Miley Cyrus. Unless the park becomes Cyrusland, Miley will never deserve this.

And what's this "fundraiser" all about? Like Mighty Unicorn said, it sounds like a tax break (or just a marketing ploy). So let me get this straight: Disney is going to raise money by screwing a lot of people out of the money they paid for their vacation in airfare, tickets, and hotel? How can Disney, in good conscience, claim to be having a charitable fundraiser by screwing people's vacations?!!

Man, this really grinds my gears!
