Admission to this event requires a separate ticket and is not included with Park admission.

In other words you must buy the $250 ticket in order to be at Disneyland that night; you can't just hang around on your $69 day ticket and crash Miley's birthday party.

I've said this before but did Walt Disney ever get a birthday party like this? Everything with the Disney name associated with it (including Cyrus' fame to begin with) is all due to Walt Disney. So can anyone explain to me why the man with the vision and the dream who made everything happen is almost a second rate citizen in his own magic kingdom?

Does anyone else find this mind blowing?

God this is ridiculous. If I was going on that day for my vacation, I would be so pissed off. And usually they have private party's and close off the park an hour or two early, and they leave DCA open longer. I haven't heard anything about them doing that. The least Disney could do is keep DCA open later, I mean come on Disney what the heck is going on?
People like this make me sick

^Yes but in that case, they kept DCA open longer, I haven't heard anything about that.

Cool It's hapened before...

When the Travel Industry Association had their event last year, the park closed at 4pm. Disneyland Resort compensated for this by extending DCA's hours.

Of course, it was on Disneyland's schedule three months in advance, and this is only six weeks away...

Thumbs up Disneyland.com schedule

As of right now, the online schedule at the Disneyland website doesn't show this early closure.

Bad show! They should have updated that schedule before making this announcement.

yes that sounds like a wonderful way to fork over 250 dollars. crash the birthday party of some girl I don't know and don't even respect in the least...

just cause the girl turns 16. such a rare event. pop the champagne. we're going to celebrate in the haunted mansion with best of both worlds blasting through the whole ride...just cause it's been a year since she was 15.

the girls sings and a little girls catch on and they give her the whole park. jeez la weez. Walt Disney didn't even get this much attention. it's times like these you wonder what Walt would do or think about this.

I think that girl gives disney a bad name.

All I can say is ... I'm quite irritated!!! I am having my vacation at the park during that time. I am not of fan of the girl or her so called music. Why can't she have it at that other park on the other coast? BAH HUMBUG on her!!!!!

You know they are probably gonna be filming this too ... just to make more money off the ... ummm ....errrmmmm ... performer(?)

I'm just a bit peeved because it cuts into "MY" time in the park. Unlike her, I don't have money to just go and do what I want, when I want. I only get to make it to the park once a year ...

Oh well, hopefully the will extend the hours at DCA ....

That's the first thing that I thought of.... and what I basically addressed in my post. I totally think that you're right, kmb728. A LOT of families are going to be hurt by this. The 4th, 5th and 6th of October are now officially totally blown out.

And by the way, I am so incredibly happy to see the Viffers so disgusted by this. Corporate has now officially crossed a line. Trashing thousands of families' dream vacations to make some cheesy video of a spoiled redneck's 16th birthday is absolutely heart wrenching. I can't believe they have done this. Now they think it's okay to do this to perfectly innocent people who can't afford this gaudy, spoiled-tacular hickfest... it's unbelievable.

With every firework that goes off in her self-inflated "honor", I hope she pictures thousands of sad children and broke parents who got kicked out of the park for this stupid event. I think that she should have to personally reimburse every family she affects for their park tickets, air fare, and hotel. They worked hard for that money!!!

Wow. All I can say it wow. I am so upset right now. I have been planning this trip since March, I am taking my best friend for her first visit to Disneyland and she has been saving for a year now because money is hard to come by at her house. When I heard Gay Days was going to be the weekend of my trip I was a little bummed, just because I knew the lines were going to be longer but I let it go. Now I come to find out that stupid little Miley Cyrus gets to close down the park 8 hours before it is scheduled to close to have a party on Disneyland that I paid to see. How is this fair? We are each spending $500+ for flight, tickets, hotel, and food (and being teenagers its hard to just gather $500) and now we are getting cut short a day. Yeah, DCA will be open but everyone will leave DL to go there and with the crowd from Gay Days, DCA will just be a sardine can. Honestly, turning 16 is not that big of an event. Yeah, you can drive (in most states), but she is friggin' Miley Cyrus, I doubt she drives anywhere anyways. So why should we give her an entire freaking amusement park filled with her? This is just ridiculous. Seems like a great way for her to prove that is she is completly in love with herself.

*sigh* I need to calm down. Maybe I'll go punch the Hannah Montana shirts at Walmart.

she's getting a tad too big for her britches. I think what irritates me most is that she has this cult of a following by the younger kids, and yet she's just going to leave them hanging cause she doesn't want to do the Hannah Montana character anymore. Way to thank your fans there chica. She'll blow over. She'll never make it as a mature singer and stuff like this is what will contribute to it. What a way to say "I'm an immature child with more money than I need who can get anything she wants." Can someone say Veruca Salt please... "daddy, I want an Oompa Loopa NOOOOOWWWW!!" Knock her off the dang high horse please! Brittney #2 just waiting to happen.
