I'm all for protesting, but the one thing I don't like about protesters is that some protesters have a "if you're not with us, you're against us" attitude & start to harass you.

I don't know the whole situation but I know unions and I know Disney Unions. Enough of my friends have been involved in both and I have to side with the union before even looking at the facts. Every time they renegotiate a contract Disney tries to step in and take advantage of the union workers... even if its small. This goes for all unions. That is why the union was made because enough people got tired of being stepped on and so they create a group of common individuals to stand up to the man. The way the Disney Unions are set up, Disney will not be allowed to hire any new permanent employees unless they are part of the union. And if they are part of the union they will be on strike. Disney has to be one of the best yet worst unions to be in depending on the area, the employees, and the situation. The Hotel workers have the upper hand. And they have every right to stand up for what they want.

I am wondering how many of these union workers are getting paid special wages because of their seniority. Maybe that is why they don't like the new 2 tier system. That and I think they are probably most upset with the healthcare, which is sad all around the resort so they must either have a good plan now... or want to keep the crappy one the rest of the resort has LOL.

Heh, 32 arrested, they are really pissed about this aren't they? I still want to know why they are protesting this! All companies give the seniority members more money.

For the Record Starting pay for every employee at in-n-out is 10 an hour.

In-N-Out is also a privately owned company and not a corporation that sells of it's stock.Nor does it franchise stores out. If it became a corporation like the others you would see those nice starting hourly wages drop faster than a hamburger patty in the hands of a newly hired cook at McDonald's LOL.
Anyways, They are not a union either.

I think because they are dropping the wages of seniority members. It might not be that they are mad at the new people getting paid a certain amount more but that people who have been there 15 years are gonna get a pay cut while the new hires are getting an increase. I know I wouldn't like that scenario. Also I would protest just for the healthcare. That stuff is expensive.

That is exactly why I hate protestors (though I admit, I sometimes carry this attitude).

Imagine walking up to Disneyland and some kid goes..."Mommy, why is Sleeping Beauty getting arrested?"

Thats one problem I have with protesters and strikes. They do not care what effect they have on the children.

I think they went too extreme too fast. If they had been protesting for months then I can see something like this but they only started protesting recently. I think it might have something to do with the young age of these people. They may not really know what a union is and how it works.

I would like to work anywhere in either park and I couldn't see myself complaining, but then again, like a lot of people are saying, if you dont like the wages there are other places to work.

And thats true, the longer a persons been working the more money they should make.

Yeah, that would ruin my childhood.
