A CM told me (if that is any credible source) that Disney took the POTC refurb off the schedual because a lot of people were giving them "a hard time" about it.

Nonetheless, POTC is a popular ride. Itd be in their best interest to list it on the refurb calendar, hard time or not, because people will expect it to be open then disappointed when they get tehre and its closed.

My husband and I are going the first week in November and will get to see Fantasmic after all! I was worried. Not too sad about Golden Dreams. Has anyone watched the bonus feature on the Little Mermaid about the Dark Ride they orginally planned for the movie? I wonder if they will keep any of the same ideas. I remember watching the featurette about a year ago and getting so sad that the ride was never going to happen. I guess I shouldn't have worried.

This is the only place I've heard about the POTC refurbishment but then again I haven't heard much about it.

There are a couple of rides listed for refurbishment in Disneyland Resort in this website that's not correct for the moment. I checked it when I was planning my trip.

Why did McDonald's stop selling food in the park?

Disney is getting away from McDonalds. They were trying to stop trans fats a year ago but their contract with McDonalds wasn't up yet. I believe thats the case. Anyways, there is already a thread about it.

Awesome. I said something right for once.

I, honestly, will not miss McDonald's. I'm glad they're being rid of. It's just something about that restaurant that makes me want to stay away.

I loved the Conastoga Wagon! I hate McDonalds food (if you can call it food) so I will certainly not miss ol' MickeyD's but I will miss the Wagon. Hopefully they can outfit the wagon with other tasty snacks and bring it back.

So I'm a little confused about all of this quite honestly and would really appreciate clarification. I would like to visit next week from the 1-3 or perhaps the week following. But I don't understand what will be down. Pirates and Haunted Mansion are MIA? Or is Haunted Mansion Holiday going to be running by then? Those are pretty much my highlights of the D-Land experience so i'd like to avoid missing them if possible. Any help?
