What? Forgive me for saying it, but if you're a parent and your kids are Disney-obsessed, wouldn't you at least want a social networking that was away from all of that? I know it won't be all-out like a kids one would, but still... now if it were for teens, maybe, but parents, I'm skeptical on. Most people over the age of 30 that social network use blogger or facebook or twitter.

Already sucessful
Family.com was already a sucessful website that disney purchased and re-branded. It was already a place to trade parenting tips, etc. Disney bought it because they thought it would be a good fit, to complement the kids sites that Disney owns. (Disney bought Club Penguin at about the same time.) Now they're giving it a features upgrade, similar to the one they're giving Disney.com.
