Cast Member heroes parade at Disneyland

Disney employees honored in parade down Main Street

During a parade down Main Street in Disneyland today, Disney honored two employees who have recently been recognized as local heroes. Robert Olvera, an ager and painter at the Disneyland paint shop, and Juan Morales, a server at Hook’s Pointe, have both been called heroes for saving the lives of two different men.

Last July, Robert Olvera risked his life by pulling a man from the wreckage of an overturned semi. While Juan Morales was driving home on a Saturday night, he saw a man trying to climb over a fence on an overpass used on the Garden Grove freeway. Morales tried talking with him and ending up saving the man’s life.

Good for them! The world is that much greater knowing that there are still many people who care for each other, and are willing to go out of their way to help. They deserve what they have coming for them!

This is really fantastic, I am really proud that Disney did this for these men. It's nice to see that real heroes are honored and not just certain Disney Channel "stars".
