Default Would You Write a Story About Disney Theme Parks?

Would you guys write a story that involves a Disney theme park or several of them? And what would your story be about? What's the message you want other people to know? I would love to write a Disney story! I'm even having plans about writing one, but right now my story is living in the imagination world.

I don't know. I'd have to think long and hard about a story that would actually be a good one. I mean, would anyone take a story seriously about Disneyland? Maybe for kids. It could happen. I'll have to think about it.

I've thought about writing one and using people from the site as characters, but I haven't had the time yet.

Well, I would write a book about the park, like a guide, not a novel.

I would but I'm already working on one about something else. It wouldn't be hard to write one that appeals to the adult population however.

Actually - I have written a few pages into a personal memoir of trips I've taken to Disneyland and the effects it has had on my life, as well as general observations about the park.

If I ever finish, it would never be something I would submit to be published, though. Maybe printed for a few select people, but never actually submitted to a publisher.

Yes. Many times I have attempted to write stories involved in disneyw only the majority of the times the stories turn emotional and weird. I Have a peculiar emotional attachment to disney world that makes me want to write stories with a deep moral. the stories are great until I put them on paper in which i can't continue. I am extremly afraid of commitment in doing that type of stuff unless someone tells me to do it and I have to do it

Disneyland could totally work. You could use Disneyland as a metaphore and make the story symbolic. The story could be psychological and be a commentary on human nature. I, Robot by Issac Asimov was a seires of short stories about robots; however, each stories revealed things about the intricate nature of mankind. If you approach it form that angle then, yes, you could write a real, genuinely awesome book.

I think that if you did write a story about Disneyland, it would have to be appealing. I mean like you could totally do it, but I guess you could write lots of things. Like... Well you get what I am saying. That would be awesome! Oh I just had an idea!!!! Which I think I am actually going to start here in a few minutes. Write the story of a character's life. Like for instances the first man or woman who was in the Mickey Suit. His life working at Disneyland, how he got there, etc. That would be very interesting, I think! Than i think many people would have more respect for the hard workers at Disneyland. Or maybe not...?

That could work, only how would DL be a metaphor?

I don't know. If I need to come up with a good metaphore I will; however, unless i'm actually writing a Disneyland story I'm not going to put the necessary thought into it.

You could tie in elements of the park to help you make a commentary on life, society, politics, etc. Example: when POTC comes up in the story, you could use it as an opening to dicuss greed, marketing, history, real pirates, immersion into culture/surroundings. I don't know, if you really wanted to write a Disneyland story you could. You could even write about human behavior. How people interact with others, themselves, in large or small groups, etc. If you really wanted to you could dicuss intense intrapersonal or interpersonal relationships.

Once you have your story, throw in a bunch of literary devices like hyperbole, zeugma, litotes, allusion, personification, metaphores, similies, paradox, irony, etc. and people will think you're intelligent.

One idea I had involved several theme parks over a course of two stories, the first tale establishing the characters, and the second being a tale of revenge. The first story would start at a Magic Mountain-type park, then in the second the events would unfold at Disneyland.

The story was based around terrorism, about how they could strike at most targets to cripple the country's spirit, and about the perseverance of a select few individuals who end up thwarting their plans with no intention of doing so, just the intent of staying alive. The second story would then be a follow-up to those select few who, after not visiting a theme park for a few years, decide it best to visit the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately their new enemy is/was the brother/son/whatever of the previous bad guy, and uses DL and DCA as his battleground.

Like Disney would go for it. Oh well...one can dream, right?
