WDW Christmas Day Parade 2006:)

so it aired on ABC today at 10:00am so who saw it and what was it like? I missed it because I tottaly forgot! Now im all mad at myself for being so forgotful. Oh, well I didn't want to see Miley Cyrus, lip syncing and trying to be a pouty teen model anyway. Haha.

Of course I always love anything Disney, the parade is no different. But having just watched the Year of a Million Dreams resort vacation DVD it felt like the 'pardes' were a bigger, extended version of that. lol.

Heavy advertisement of YOAMD! But that was fine, I teared up everytime they played a commercial for it. But overall the performances were nice and the POD represented!

Although I could have done without America's new Host-for-Everything Ryan Seacrest, Regis and Kelli in Florida were funny.

For my first time seeing the parades it was fun. A great way for Walt and his company to drop in on my favorite holiday of the year.

It got my family more pumped to go in May. I go all the time, but my parents haven't been since 94. So they have a TON of catching up to do. They're all jazzed about it since seeing the parades and the planning DVD.

I've tried telling them all they've missed, including the NEW park they've never been to. But of course that doesn't help/ They gotta see it! And we will!

I really enjoy watching the parade each year, but a lot of it felt really reused this year - almost like they didn't even bother to reshoot some acts, particularly the Festival of the Lion King performance. I distinctly remember at least one of those shots from last year, and the whole routine seemed reused. I wish they'd change some of the numbers around a bit more. Ditto for the Parade of Dreams segment.
