Default Walt Disney Paper

Hey everyone,

I just found out that I have to write a paper on someone in history who has made some important contribution to the world and has had book written about him/her.We also have to create a poster about said person. So, being the Disney fanatic that I am, I of course chose Walt Disney.

Here is what I am planning to do so far:

A)For the paper:
-his "midwestern years" (where he grew up, family life, etc.)
-his first animation atempts
-his family
-his groundbreaking work in animation
- Disneyland
- his death and how it affected the world
B) For the poster:
- get tiny, black-and-white pictures of his animated shorts, feature films (live action and animated), nature films, tv shows, Disneyland, the studio, premieres, and Academy Awards and make up a portrait of him (modeledafter "The Happiest Faces On Earth" at Disneyland)
- put a hand-drawn picture of Mickey Mouse on there

Has anybody done a simalar assignment to this? If so, what did you do? I really want to make this worthy of Walt, so any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!

How about his contributions in WWII -- creating logos for troops, helping create training films at the studio, etc? The military actually took over the Disney Studios....no permission needed. Check out this link:

Wow... This is almost exact thing I did last year, I even did my project on Walt Disney too!!
Except mine was like an eight page research paper on him.

Good luck with it.

Yeah, I my teacher told us today that we have to write five pages maximum, which I think is a crime. As if any good writer could write only five pages on a great man like Walt.

What kind of a teacher LIMITS students in a writing exercise?

That's sad.

...but there is something to be said about learning how to not go rambling off-topic. Writing graders out there are brutal when it comes to things like that. Learn to be coherent & concise as well as make a punch.
