You take off up and through a tube and it drops you down into a loop. After that I can't remember because I was shocked that it had the loop to begin with!

Not that I know of. I have never seen one. Google it perhaps?

He said Space Mountain: Mission 2.

I found a good video of the original one on Youtube, see.

Though I'm sure that doesn't give you a good idea about the track layout.
I once found a re-created version of Mission II, that looked pretty exact to the actual thing, I can try looking for it.

Oh, I found this, it looks like a pretty good re-creation of Mission 2.. Look here.

Though I have never ridden' the ride, I don't know how well this goes by the real ride, but it should give an idea.

Well, you tell me, does Space Mountain at DLP look anything like the one here at DLR? Well I would say no.

I live in France and went to DLP many times.

The first thing I should say is that the original track layout of Space Mountain was kept for the Mission 2 version ... the only difference is the theme ... and the breakdowns (few months after the reopening, many of the effects went off ... even the onboard music doesn't work now !).

I also had the chance to ride the Magic Kingdom's version ... and the only things they have in common are the name and the shape of the building ...

If you want to know more about our version, here's a really nice documentary (taken from the BBC ... everything is in English !) : http://www.mousefiles.com/videoshootforthemoon.php

There's an other documentary where an Imagineer shows us the inside of DLRP's Space Mountain (with the lights on ) ... it's not very long (5 min max out of 20 for the entire video), it's in French but it's still very interesting :

(the link was found at http://www.disneytheque.com/index.ph...es/videos.html)

... oh ! Here's a nice one too : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78Yii9q41KQ
