They're including Pixar!!! Could it be because a certain board includes Pixar films in their adaptations of it (cough, cough: us : cough, cough). Haha, no they're probably including Nemo for his sea relation.

Tokyo DisneySea today announced that a new nighttime entertainment spectacular, Fantasmic!, will premiere in April 2011 to kick off the yearlong celebration of the Tokyo DisneySea 10th Anniversary, which is September 4.
Taking place at night in Mediterranean Harbor, this 20-minute spectacular features Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice, who creates a breathtaking world of wonder and imagination.

The show features fantastic scenes from many familiar Disney films such as Aladdin, Cinderella and Finding Nemo, as well as a thrilling sequence of Mickey fighting a gigantic dragon. Filled with special effects using water and fire on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor, this dramatic show promises a night of unforgettable fantasy and excitement for all.
Performances of Fantasmic! will continue to be presented after the Tokyo DisneySea 10th Anniversary celebration ends. BraviSEAmo!, the nighttime show currently being presented, will end on November 13, 2010.

I know this is probably your last flight, and it's... mine too... heh-heh.
We'll miss you, Rex!
This is a different version of "Fantasmic!" than either of the "Fantasmic!" shows we're familiar with here.
This is going to look like a hybrid of World of Color and what we know of as "Fantasmic!" and will probably end up being far superior to either one.
I will miss BraviSEAmo a great deal. It was everything a theme park show ever wanted to be. It was original, for one, and had no existing movie trademarks in it, aside from Mickey who opened the show. It was very elegant & graceful. It included a real volcanic eruption that lit the entire Mediterranean Harbor on fire which made "Fantasmic!"'s fire scene look like a cigarette lighter. It was a show totally unique to Tokyo DisneySea, and embodied all the ways that an original show/attraction can be done right, and can have a huge crowd watching it nightly as a result.
Now, unfortunately, its loss will only re-enforce the incorrect notion that without trademarks, no show/attraction could ever be popular, or worth making.

"So are we to continue in sin that grace might increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him...so we too might walk in the newness of life." -- Romans 6:1-4

I personally didn't enjoy BraviSEAmo that much when I saw it, but what I will say is despite the fact that I went on an extremely empty, initially rainy day, the entire area around the Mediterranean Harbor was packed. I don't think changing the show has so much to do with needing to include brand trademarks, rather, I noticed while I was living in Tokyo that Disney is CONSTANTLY running new promotions, shows, merchandising specials, etc. and that it fits in more with the park's business model than anything else.
This may also be an effort to draw more families with children to the park. Sea is seen as the "adult" park and there are drastically less children there than in Disneyland on any given day, and having a show like Fantasmic! which features recognizable characters might increase family attendance.
Just a couple of guesses, but either way I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing![]()
I'm not saying this is a bad move, just that I'll miss BraviSEAmo, for my own reasons. I'm always disappointed when something original is replaced by something based on a pre-existing movie.
One change of a nighttime show won't change the demographic makeup of any theme park's attendance. I'd guess a more significant reason for the age breakdown is because few families can afford to pay to get into both Disneyland and DisneySea given what the price structure is and the fact that Park Hoppers do not exist without a 3-day minimum purchase. So, given the choice, they'll choose Disneyland every time regardless of what DisneySea has.

If the dragon looks like Murphy (with full scale body with legs and a tail),that would very
awesome to see on YouTube!
Sometimes, you just need to see yourself from the inside before you look outside and just it.- Me
Nothing beats Disneyland's Fantasmic. I'm sure they'll probably fix up the dragon which has had numerous problems, now is their chance to fix it properly and getting it running 100%. 'Cause right now, its only running like 50% in shows. Congrats to Tokyo getting Fantasmic, it'll probably be good since Tokyo has billions and billions and billions of dollars to do whatever the heck they want. Wish our parks had that kind of money. (I say our parks as in Disney parks 'cause Tokyo Disney Resort is not a Disney operated park) Whatever...

HOORAH!!! My Disney fanboy dreams have been fulfilled! I always thought Fantasmic! ranks as the must-dos in the American parks & the fact that Tokyo will be bringing it to their parks will attract an entirely new audience to the show. Now I agree that BraviSEAmo was very well done but change can be good depending on how it's executed. I have high hopes for Tokyo's Fantasmic & who knows maybe it'll be even better than Disneyland's.
Oh goodie! I can't wait to see the new version of Fantasmic at Tokyo DisneySea.
Tim
This is cool I hope we see Doctor Facilier as one of the villains in Fantasmic.
