Default Is Disney running out of Locations For Theme Parks?

I've always wondered what'll happen when the Walt Disney Company runs out of locations for theme parks. I know there are many locations big enough for a park but many locations in the world have starving families & many of them cannot afford to go to theme parks. I believe future locations for Disney parks would be: Australia & South Africa.

What do you guys think of the whole worldwide parks problem?

I think its more of a running out of content for theme parks problem than space for theme parks.

^ True.

Plus, I don't think that there is much of a call for new parks. The existing parks are so centrally located that there isn't a need for new parks. Besides, it cost a lot of money to build and run a park. Could the local support the necessary funds?
It's not a matter of available locations. It's a matter of necessity and sustainable funds.

Location is also everything as well, but yes... Is there more there for the traveler to want to go to is another thing to look at. Although I do think having a Haunted Mansion and Pirates along with a Space Mountain ride at every Disneyland park is a bit ridiculous. Even if there are differences between them. The weather has a lot to do with it. Will there be more fair weather throughout the year there than not?

2 in the USA, 1 in Europe and 3 in Asia... So far, so good. I suppose I can see another Disneyland in Dubai... Don't really know where else though...

Well if Hong Kong Disneyland is any indication, no new parks should be built for a LONG time. You say more stuff gets built over time? Be careful - that gets increasingly more difficult with each park built. Eventually you just end up w/ too many mouths to feed and it all goes down the drain. For further reading see Six Flags, Inc.

I saw this and i thought, if Disney wants another park they will find a place for it, but i doubt there will be a new one in a loooong time. Disney's main business isn't theme parks.

5...already too many Disney resorts in the world. It's about time they stop expanding and work on what they have already. As PMM said, look at what happened to Six Flags. Plus, the more Disney resorts there is, the less the magic will flow in them.

I'm in for Disney NEVER building another Disney resort, ever.

Unless...it's Disney's America in Virginia *what are you saying Costa...you want that in WDW*

Sorry, had a little breakdown there.

Idk if Disney is running out of places to build any Disney parks. But if you recall in one of Walt Disney's speeches, it will never stop building.

But it probably just depends on location, population of the people, and their opinions. And also weather.

A London Resort would be problematic. London real estate is (as they would say) bloody expensive. If any resort was built in England it would have to outside of London. London also has very poor weather. Lots of fog. Bitter cold winds. Hot, sticky summers. Plus, London is so geographically close to Paris that it wold be a blunder on Disney's part to build a London Resort.

I really think it was a mistake to put a resort in Paris though. Yes, it is centrally located with easy access from surrounding countries, but they forgot that Frence also has poor weather, plus the fact the land itself was pretty expensive and that to the French, Germans, and British, Paris isn't that much of a so called "vacation site", being a huge mistake on Disney's part.

Now, what they should have done was build it somewhere in Madrid or Barcelona Spain. The climate's alot better there, plus it has around the same temperature range of Anehiem. Being that the main European roads go by or through the cites and the middle of Spain for those who want to go south to vacation on the Mediterranean. Also language wise, Spanish is more internationally accessible than French, so it would have been a way smarter desision to put the European resort in the middle of Spain.

Sadly, we're 17 years late, and we have one person to blame for that! *cough* Eisner *cough*

^But I like it in France. I mean sure, it doesn't have good fireworks(except for DLP 15th anniversary), but the park is detailed. Just like any French artist would do to their artwork.

I remember a rumor I heard a long time ago about building a resort in las vegas and you would take a bullet train from DLR to the disneyland resort in vegas

It's possible to create a detailed park anywhere. Just look at Tokyo DisneySea, which is much more detailed than Disneyland Paris. It just takes money and highly skilled Imagineers. But you are correct; its location in Paris did make the Imagineers think about redesigning parts of the Magic Kingdom format to local peoples' tastes.
