Default Disney research paper?

Recently, I was assigned a research paper on any topic I want. It took me a while to narrow down my decision, but I ultamately chose Disney animation! I know a lot about Disney animation's long history, but if anyone has any interesting tidbits of trivia I can include in my paper, I would love to hear them!

Uh well, they invented the multiplane camera, I think it's called.

Brain fart, can't remember anything else.

WAIT! Okay, Steamboat Willie, apart from NOT being Mickey's first cartoon, was the first one with sound. Another one, that I ALWAYS forget the name too, was the first with color. It had trees and flower dancing...

Talking Walt takes a chance on color

Here's a good one...

Technicolor had a 2-color process out, which was expensive and not very good. A few film-makers tried it out and didn't like the result. All of Hollywood decided that color was just not worth the trouble.

So... When Technicolor came out with their new 3-color process, they couldn't find any takers at all ...except for Walt Disney, who knew a good thing when he saw it.

Disney signed a two year exclusive contract with Technicolor. Flowers & Trees, The Three Little Pigs, and the new full color Mickey Mouse cartoons were all huge hits. As a result, Mickey Mouse was top billing on theatre marquees, higher billing than the feature films.

Nobody else in Hollywood could get their hands on the gorgeous new Technicolor. This saavy business deal pretty much guaranteed the success of Disney Studios.

Don't forget the importance of Walt's brother, Roy. Walt was a creative genius, but needed help in money sense. After Laugh-O-Grams went bankrupt, Roy, who worked as a banker, joined Walt and took over the business end. When Walt had an idea, Roy would have to find the money. Without Roy, many of Walt's visions wouldn't have happened, including Disneyland. Try and find the book: Building a Company by Bob Thomas. Everyone knows Walt's story, this is an excellent account of Roy's.
