Rockin Space Mtn by Ryguy222! New layout!

Ok, just to clear things up, im not just starting this now to compete with other ppl on here that have a rockin mountain. New layout means im not recycling this time, im making the whole thing from scratch. My last layout has star walls, and if you've been on RSM you'll know it has no stars at all. I started making the station a while back, and i just got back from DLR and i've been on it, so i know when the music comes in, when lasers and such come in, so i can start adding effects. I only have the first lift done, and parts of the station. Here is what i got so far....

Well first a logo for the heck of it


Yep rockin' fall 2007, so i will release this before christmas, around October, november.


And im using the same method for the entrance into the ride that i used last time, but the black wall part is a pop-out so the walls won't over lap and make all the glitchy crap (like when you put a wall in front of another)


Since i've got the options .txt cheats working again, i can over lap track. So one set of cars is on block sectioned and the other isn't. So you stop in the begining normally where the person does a belt check.

In the ride, right when they dispatch you into the first lift, red and blue lights flash like crazy on the facade,

Blue


and then red

This time as well, you will not be the first car into the mountain, the car ahead is, and you see the blue red strobe effect twice, just like in the real ride.

here is a close up of the main control booth. Now i know that there really aren't two big red x's but i want it to be like that, they way they have it is the normal way, but i can't get walls into the positions that they have in the real ride, so i made to Big Red x's, i wasn't planning for them to look like that but it just does.

Also another postive thing to building from scratch is i didn't sink the station 20 feet underground. So its way easier to get good pictures from the inside.

You can kinda see the car from there but not really

Then the first lift, in this lift, they changed the red bars purple. So i have purple lasers

and for some odd reason i had them thinner. The laser is about 15 seconds and after 7 they get thicker, i'll fix it but this is what it should look like this is from the car, i thought i got a picture from outside the car but i guess i didn't

We rode it a lot, we actually got to do it twice in a row without getting off. The brake system at the station failed and we just went right through the loading area.

Since i worked all day on this i have pix from last night, i stopped at 11 and i was too tired to put pix up. I finished the layout, i've checked it out a few times with a few blue prints, and it seems to be pretty accurate, in fact its about the same as my last one, but it is in a diferent bulding, the other one had black walls and star wall all over the place, it was a huge mess, if you've downloaded the park you'll know what i mean. SO i added projection towers, in the ride there are towers with moving heads on them (the lights that move around and have cool shapes inside) It does work to project on the dome, and i have crazy things going on, on the countdown, i have a countdown projected right were you can see it, there are odd shapes being projected too, kinda like in the ride.


^here is a cut-away of the dome, i did this so i could adjust the lasers on one side easily, and then im going to switch it. Also there are two chasers (lights the flash and chase each other) i plan to add many more as there are a ton of them in the ride.
Here is a blue chaser, they go off right when you pass by

Hmm.... how can i steal your ideas, when you don't even have shots from the ride? Thanks for the comments imgaineer me. Since i have to continaully delete and replace the Dome it changes location and the lasers need repositioing, it still projects, but the coutdown, the Planet above the tunnel, those keep moving. So for the important things i put black walls up. Once the dome is up, you won't be able to tell the difference between the dome and the black walls. Anyway i added a ROCK On sign to the ride, i know there isn't any of that, but since i don't have the dancers, im making up for it with a bunch of other things.



I fixed the countdown so its pretty synchronized with the music, Here's what ilooks like
