Grad Nite Explosion RCT3

Hey everybody! I'm back with a new project that I hope everybody will enjoy. I know I have been gone from RCT3 for a while. I've been on kind of a coaster block. Everything I tried thinking of either wasn't going to work out or it would be so ugly that the guys from Atari Community would flame it to death. But I decided to start with something small...a fireworks show.

With me now is a teaser for my next RCT3 project. Since no one hasn't tried it yet, I'm going to try and somewhat recreate Grad Nite Explosion in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3.

Note that THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER DONE A SYNCHRONIZED FIREWORKS SHOW. In other words, the final version will be SO much better.

Please try not to criticize it too much. Helpful advice is okay, but don't say anything bad like "You Suck" or "Leave Visions Fantastic, you loser" (what am I saying? You guys aren't that mean).

Just a quick note, although this show is inspired by the Grad Nite Explosion fireworks show that takes place at Disneyland, I'm not using the same songs as the 2008 version (none of those songs I recognize). I'm going to use my own songs. I plan to use:

1. Youth of the Nation by POD
2. You Spin Me Round
3. Walking' on the Sun by Smash Mouth
4. Numa Numa
5. Newton
6. My Humps by Black-Eyed Peas
7. Like Toy Soldiers by Eminem (only chorus will be used)
8. Hide Me With Your Best Shot

If you would like to suggest any songs, you may do so in your post or PM a song list. Please no rap music unless it is Disney-approved (which many of them aren't).

A good start, and I agree about the flaming crap on Atari. That's why I don't post anything at all over there until its done, and someone says its good enough to go over there.

Anyway, this is a good start. However, in the begining you launched up the same Firework six or seven times, the red one. If you changed it up, say had another one of a different type go up next to it that'd be great.

The Idea is great. The majority of people haven't been to grad nite, so they can't say "well that's not at all what its like" And I haven't been, and I won't be going so no problems there.

The scenery around the castle looks pretty good, but the castle itself isn't looking as good. May I suggest some Custom scenery.

It isn't the DLR castle, or the WDW castle, its a mix of all of the castles, and I know your doing DLR but this will look much better in its spot. You could even sink the castle into the ground a bit to make it look smaller. If you want to keep the castle "non cs" I understand, but you've gotta do better than that. I've seen people make there own and have it look good.

Also I know you were making a preview, but if you use the FCR (flying camera route) it'll make a great video. I've been taking video production classes for two years (soon to be three) and we are always told to make sure the picture moves, changes angles every 5-10 seconds to keep the audiences attention. But we all know RCT3 gamers have long attention spans :P but it still wouldn't hurt.

Wow, the castle looks lots better. I like that wall you have around the sides. What scenery/CS is it?
As for the fireworks, they look better, but you've got to beef it up more. I know its an intro, but its gotta be very lively at the start, and have a mini finale at the end of the intro. So people want to stay and watch the rest. Big explosion, heck even flame throwers would be good. Keep this up! Now I wanna go make some Mix masters lol.

Btw where did you get your fireworks at?

The castle walls came from eeZee's Cinderella Castle walls. As for the fireworks, I downloaded something called "NetOn" that came with literally dozens of fireworks and custom scenery.
