New to VMK. Any tips on how to get into it?

I've just started... I was introduced to the world of VMK last week in Disneyland. But now what? I've managed to do the initial Mickey Pin Quest and the New Orleans Square, play with fireworks and explore. But how do I get an Autopia Driver's License? I see people riding rides, but I can't get on. Is there stuff to do in all the rooms? Seems like all I can do is just walk through. I don't know what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
