Default Walking to parking lot and using tram? Is it allowed?

So we're staying at the Anaheim Sheraton Hotel (which is like .5 miles away from the Mickey & Friends parking garage)
So I was thinking of just walking there (if you can & if you're allowed to) and just use the tram to get to the parks...

I have never used the M&F parking garage before (I've always used the Lion King parking lots), therefore I have no idea if you're able to walk into that area and use the tram stop that is there...

I hope I asked my question clearly...

Thanks

I have wondered the same thing and I asked the question on TripAdvisor, where Darkbeer contributes advice. I was told that you can walk over to the tram station, but since the Anaheim Sheraton has their own complimentary shuttle it's much more convenient to use that. I was thinking that if I ever stayed at this hotel I would want to walk because I am used to using the Mickey and Friends parking lot and I love using the tram there. (In other words, I would miss it.) It's actually supposed to be kind of a long walk. You need to cross Ball Rd., which of course is busy (but has a stoplight). And then it's a long walk through the parking lot area. I guess you could try it on one of your days and see how you like it.

You could probably do it. I'm not exactly sure where the Anaheim Sheraton is, but walking through the parking lot is a walk in itself. But I do love the tram :)

Its not blocked off or anything. I stayed at the holiday inn that is over there, and we walked to the tram station. It really depends how often the shuttle at your hotel runs. If you have to wait 45-60 minutes it's probably worth the walk over to the tram station.

I have stayed at hotels north of Disneyland, walked the the parking garage and boarded the tram many times. It's perfectly ok.

You can do it, but I'm not really sure why you'd want to do that. It's a lot longer walk to even the closest hotel from the M&F tram stop, than it is from the Harbor pedestrian entrance to any of the hotels on Harbor from Manchester to Katella. Then if you do figure to walk to even the Days Inn at Disneyland/Ball, the really only way to walk there is to get off the tram, walk back out to Disneyland Drive, walk over the bridge over the tram route, and then cross Disneyland Drive at that giant intersection with the longest red lights I've ever known. That's backtracking bigtime, hills, dangerous crossings, etc.

Personally, I'd never walk to a hotel from the M&F garage. It takes enough time to get to the parks from that tram stop by either walking or being herded with the sheep on the trams.

How many pedestrian entrances are there? I know there's one on Katella Ave.. I think that could probably take a while, since it's closest to California Screamin' and the parking structure is somewhat far from the park.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

I stayed at that hotel one night for my sister's birthday. I'm pretty sure you can walk to the M&F tram from there but I wouldn't recommend it. The Sheraton has a shuttle that runs right to the front gate. If you really want to ride the M&F Tram, I suggest going to the Main Street Stop towards the end of the night and just riding it back and forth.
