Default Upcoming visit & general questions.

I'm bringing the grandkids to the park in 14 days and I have a bunch of general questions. I am hoping that I can get some answers. Any help is appericiated. Thanks in advance.

1) Does the princess storyhour occur in the summer months? Where is it held and what days and times?

2) Thunder Mt had it big accident 3 years ago and when we were there 2 years it was right after the bump incident so the ride was shut down. The kids really want to ride thunder and I have told them that it needs to be accident free for 2 years before I will let them get on. I haven't heard anything on any of the boards, but with graduate school I am not able to keep very close tabs on the parks happenings. So, Have there been any accidents on thunder mt recently?

3) When they reopened Splash the logs were reconfigured so that the back seat will accomdate 2 people. I heard not long after that that they did away with double seating because the logs were back heavy. This is one of the boys favorite rides and thier sister hated the drop two years ago. I would like to entice her onto the ride by sitting next to her in the back seat. Will the cm's allow you to use the back seat on splash as a double? One adult and one child.

3) What are the hours for the Asimov show in innovations?

4) We took the kids to the pin trading class on the last visit and they have requested a repeat visit. Are there pin trading classes this summer? Where are they holding the classes?

thanks again Tink60

Some of your questions I can't answer but I can say that Splash does do a double back seat now and I'm sure you would be more than welcome to take your granddaughter in the back with you. Just don't forget the hill in the middle of the ride as well so you can remind her of it. And as for BTMRR I would say let the kids go on it. I haven't heard of anything but it would be easy to find out. But with all of the rides Disney has done on it since, I'm sure it's safe to go on and since it doesn't sound like you get to go that often (I know the feeling lol) you might as well do it while you get the chance.

We just returned from DL and I can tell you at least one of the things. The logs on Splash Mtn can fit an adult and a smaller child, but it would be tight to do if the child was older than maybe 7 or 8. Big Thunder Mtn. was running fine, with one minor breakdown during our time there. I haven't heard of any accidents on that ride since the one 3 years ago, but I may be mistaken.

1) Does the princess storyhour occur in the summer months? Where is it held and what days and times? they are in the princess shoppe right behind the castle across from peter pan. you will have to check the daily calender for times.

NO. BTMRR has been accident free for a while now, and I try to ride it as often as possible

YES. see above for details

4) What are the hours for the Asimov show in innovations? I believe from 11am to 7pm everyhour on the hour but I think they skip one show somewhere in the middle. you will need to go to innoventions early and get tickets for the show you want to see.

5) We took the kids to the pin trading class on the last visit and they have requested a repeat visit. Are there pin trading classes this summer? Where are they holding the classes? Not sure on this one (4 out of 5 ain't bad though....)
