Anyone out there used the RideMax software (www.ridemax.com)? I'm planning a trip in March, and am wondering if it lives up to its advertising...

We've done it once and once was enough. It did do what it was meant to, but it was just too stressful to try and get to everything on time. It just wasn't worth it. I just recommend relaxing, as disneyguy said, and use Fastpass as much as you can. That seems to be the best strategy.

^ I agree...we tried it once too. It's a interesting concept but it doesn't allow you to relax and move about the resort freely. I would recommend only for people who are only at the resort for 1 day and live far away enough that they can't come for awhile and want to see alot. The day we went and used it, it happened to be a slow day in the parks so we ended up not even needing it! But in my opinion it was fun to try and plan and organize a day like that at the park...but I love to plan and organize anyway so it was fun to try and play with but I wouldn't do it again.

I suppose it depends on your individual situation, but I really disagree. I got a lot out of Ridemax, and even though I now go to DL often enough to sort of have my own regular schedule, I wouldn't hesitate to use it again for a day I expected to be very crowded. The timing of the schedules I have created with it was remarkably accurate. There's a lot to be said for planning your schedule in advance. You won't waste time standing around trying to decide what to do next, which is a real problem, as no one ever agrees, and the more people you have with you, the less likely they are to agree. A large group often ends up splitting up for most of the day. With Ridemax, you consult the people you are going with in advance to see which rides they are interested in, and then Ridemax will tell you the optimum time to ride them. I used it for a Girl Scout troop trip, and the troop leader was very impressed with it. I found it reduced wait time considerably. Playing around with it also teaches you the best way to plan on your own, too, because you learn which rides are crowded when, and it isn't usually when you think it would be. It also helps you make the most of the fastpass system. You can plan freetime with it to see shows or relax. You can always depart from the schedule and then come back to it later if you want, or use it for only part of a day. IMO, since it's so cheap compared to everything else you will have to pay for on your trip, you might as well get it and try it out.
