Default Ticket upgrade question

I bought a 4-day park hopper ticket from the official DL website for $179, but I'm thinking about upgrading it to a Deluxe Annual Pass and had a few questions

-The DL website lists the Deluxe as $239; is the price both online and in person?
-If I upgrade before I make my first entry into the park, I'd pay the $60... but if I upgrade after I've already used a day or two, would I still only pay $60, or more because I've already used a day on the pass?

Thanks!

FYI--I'm pretty sure you have to upgrade on the first day, I might be wrong though. Hopefully someone else will have more info for you =)

I don't think you have to upgrade on the first day because if you just buy a one day park hopper you have 30 days to upgrade.

A someone who upgraded his last time at the park.... You have to at least do the upgrade on your last day your ticket is valid. Be sure not to do an upgrade befor a day that may be blacked out! Like if you get to the park on a Friday, wait till Sunday becuase Saturday will be blacked out. Otherwise, you will have to pay an extra $30 fpr a black out day ticket. But no matter which day you upgrade, you will only have to pay the difference between the cost of the ticket and the AP.

Remember! You get a 10 % discount at restaurants! So make your upgrade count while on your trip!

Ah ok, so no matter when I upgrade, I'll only have to pay the original $60 difference, even if I use up days before?

Also, good point about the restaurants! Do you know which ones they're good at? We're planning on eating at Goofy's Kitchen, Blue Bayou, Rainforest Cafe, and ESPN Zone. Does the restaurant discount apply just to my meal items, or the entire tab?

Do you have to take a photo for the pass? And lastly, are there special renewal prices for next year, or the full price?

Sorry, I'm full of questions tonight lol.

No problem! you can go to Disneyland.com to get a listing of where you gat a discount. I cant remeber all of them, and dont want to give you the wrong info. I know that as long as you are the one paying, you get the discount.

You do have to take a photo and you are not allowed to wear a hat when you take it! Just a word to the wise cause I was wearing a hat the day I upgraded and cant stand to look at my hair on the AP (I am just a freak about my hair). The only special pricing is if you do it online. I think it is a $20 discount.

Any more q's let me know!

Thanks for your help! I checked the website, however it didn't say which restaurants. MouseSavers says virtually all resort restaurants though. Nonetheless, I emailed Disney just to make sure. Do you know if they're good at the individual vendor carts, or stuff like the Dole Stand or Bengal BBQ?

The pricing online, though, is $239 and it appears thats what it is in person too. For the park hoppers they have a discounted price with the original slashed out, but not with the APs.

I figure if the discount is good at most restaurants, that'll cover half my AP. Maybe a bit more for shopping. I don't know 100% for sure when I'm going to DL next after this July, but if I don't, oh well, I'm out maybe $30, no biggie.

The discount is 10% on every ten bucks spent, most places will give you the discount but it's best to ask, also the ODV carts don't give a discount. You can ask for a list at the AP processing center which is in the bank on main street. They can answer any questions you might have about the purchase of an AP if your still not clear on exactly what to do. hope this helps.

You know the discount on food can be pretty random. Of course the full service restaurants you get it. No at the Red Car. But...yes at the fruitstand in Tomorrowland and there was no minimum there.

That's what we do. Doesn't hurt. I have used it at Storytellers, ESPN, Wetzel's Pretzels, Carnation Cafe, Pizza Port...basically all of the sitdown joints. And assorted other places. Yeah ask.
