Default Ticket Prices

Anybody know where is the cheapest place to buy park hopper tickets. The prices at disneyland.com have $159 for a 4-day pass in 2006 -- not bad, eh? Or could I find better? Thanks.

Also -- anybody know if the Monorail will be down for refurbs in the next year or two?

I just bought 3 - 5 day hoppers for our Feb trip online at disneyland.com for 149.00 each. They have everyone plays at kids prices right now, only on the website. Make sure when they ask what year you put 2006. The offer is good from 1/3/06 until April (don't remember the date) 06. Or you can also purchase the same tickets at a Disney Store. I checked with the resort today on the validity of these tickets and they assured me they were just as valid, and they have the same everyone plays at kids prices.

From what I hear the first part of 06 for the Monorail will have one way service, not sure what that means. As the year goes on they will be shutting it down for much needed repairs. I'm not going to say this is fact but, it is what I have heard through the rumor mill.

I'm not sure when the Monorail will be shut down. Be sure to check the calendar on the official Disneyland website. As a rule of thumb: If you do not see the Monorail pass by you as you're on the tram, it'd probably be best to go through the front gates (at which point I believe you can find out if it's running or not).

I wouldn't trust the CMs working on the tram to know. One time I asked and they told me it was running, so I walked through DTD and found out that it had been closed all day. So then I had to walk all the way back through DTD and then wait in the lines at the front gate.

If the Monorail is offering one way service, this means that if you get on at Tomorrowland in Disneyland, you MUST get off at the DTD stop and vice versa. If you would like to make a round trip, you must get off the Monorail and get back in line.

If think if you order your tickets ahead of time, you get them for a cheaper price than buying them regularly (not 100% sure though).
