Thanksgiving crowds?

We are planning to be on So. Cal visiting family from Thursday Nov 20th (one week before Thanksgiving) through Thanksgiving weekend. I have heard that Thanksgiving weekend is crazy busy but what about Mon-Wed of that week? I think we will go the 20th and 21st (previous Thurs, Fri) but I want to go at least 3-4 days. Should we go Monday-Tues or maybe leave for Vaca earlier like Monday the 17th?
Also, I would like to see as much Holiday stuff as possible. I went to Disneyland on Christmas day15 years ago and all I remember is how busy it was. Will we see the holiday parade and fireworks the week of the 17th-23rd? We are out of state AP holders and go as many times per year as possible. But have never been in November. We don't like going on weekends or through the summer to stay away from the crowds but sometimes just being in Disneyland is worth it. I need advice from all you lucky So. Cal AP holders.

My family and I went Thanksgiving weekend last year, and it was crazy busy! I talked to a Cast Member while waiting in a line and was told that the days before Thanksgiving were really quiet by comparison.

Wego to DL every year on Thanksgiving and compared to the summertimes, its not that bad, It's crowded though...

I went the day after thanksgiving a few years ago, and it was INSANE!!!! It was really fun, but just be prepared to wait in long lines.

Ya I have to agree with you on that one, the day after thanksgiving is crazy!!!

I spent the whole Thanksgiving weekend there last year (Thru-Sun) and it was crowded, but I've seen worse. They served a yummy Thanksgiving dinner at the Carnation Cafe. I had a good time despite the crowds.
