Thumbs down Start planning your government paid Disneyland Trip!!

I'm sure that most of you know that members of the US will soon be receiving a nice amount of from the government on our tax return! My family is deciding to spend it on !!

But how much will we get?

Married Couples: $1,200
+$300 per kid(1-17)

Families of Four: $1,800

Singles: $600
+$300 per kid(1-17)

Expect it at the end of spring-early summer!!

THANK YOU GOVERNMENT!

Well it's true...spending on Disney trips helps make the economy go 'round...

How much you get depends on how much you make (or, another way to look at it, how much you've already put in.) We'll be paying off credit card debt in preparation for my wage cuts next year because of California's refusal to raise taxes to pay for the increased expenses (like gasoline for buses) of running school districts.

No this is in addition to your taxes you've paid. It's a new program that was made to try to up our economy. It still has to be approved by the President I believe but they're giving everyone this in addition to your wage tax refund as they're hoping people will spend it and boost the economy.

I have mixed feelings... as much as I need it. I hate to think of where we borrowed it from and how it will already add to the huge defecit we have going on here.

I plan on paying off debt.

As much as I would love to use it for a trip, it will come just in time to pay our car insurance.

This is funny, my wife and I were just talking about this. We are going in may, but our annual passes will run out before we get a chance to go again. We were just discussing how this money would pay for 2/3 of buying new annual passes and a trip in december.

I'm pretty sure Bush has already signed it, no point fretting though, he did say he would if he hasn't already.

I have not heard much about this, but aren't we supposed to save it for something?

Nope they're giving it away so that people will spend it on stuff and strengthen the economy.
