It will be crowded because its Christmas time and everybody wants to see the decorations. I think It is a good time to go.. if you dont mind people. The decorations are just amazing. The weather can be a little bit cool to cold.. I don't think it will be that bad. bring a sweatshirt just in case! have fun!!!!! :D

Actually, I've heard the crowds are pretty manageable that early in December, but beginning Christmas Day through January 1st, the crowds become insane. I think you'll be fine =)

So! the next question is, would the first week in December be better, or maybe the last week in November better?

we've been both weeks and they are both good. Since Thanksgiving is so late, you might want to wait for the first weekend. Everyone is home from TG, but most Christmas breaks haven't started yet. There will still be a lot of people cause of the decorations, but nothing like a busy summer day. Plus with the cool weather and Christmas stuff, it's totally bearable. You'll have a blast!!

I would stick with the dates you have. The Candlelight Processional is the 6th and the 7th, I believe.

I have heard the same thing as Piglet heard. Except that attendance does grow about 5 or 6 days before Christmas. Basically, there at locals earlier in the month and foreign travelers tend to come at the end of the month - targeting Christmas or just before - mixed with locals.

There is usually a rainy day or two during the time you are planning, but there also can be pretty warm days. Nights are always chilly. If it rains, the temps are usually lower at night than on a sunnier day, though. Some rainy days are exceptionally pretty, with off and on showers and big pretty clouds in the sky that make for a wonderful sunset.

Don't forget to include a day at Knott's in your plans because they have some great Christmas shows, a parade, and a holiday crafts fair. Avoid the Toys for Tots weekends there.
