it's deffinately worth the money i've stayed there many times before! it has its own entrance to california adventures, an awesome swimming pool, a great japanese restaraunt called yamabuki, excellent views, and service. the rooms are very cozy, and have a boardwalk type theme. we got a room before where it was in a corner of the hotel, but it was very spacious. trust me, you, and whoever you are going with will really enjoy this hotel.

if you go to paradise pier and go by an outside store called route 66 or whatever, it's hidden behind a few trees but there's a gate there that takes you to the hotel, it's like a nice little walkway but when you're heading to the park in order to use the walkway you have to swipe your hotel key card and it will grant admittance. then you walk for a little bit and you wind up at the gate at paradise pier. trust me, its there. i've used it many times!

The entrance to Disney's California Adventure is now closed. You must enter the park through the Grand Californian's entrance across the street.

The only downsides of the Paradise Pier is that (a) it is a walk to the Main Entrance Plaza, (b) it has no real lobby; just a check-in desk, a restraunt or two, and a little eatery, (c) it has no real recreation areas; just a dinky little pool, a very kiddy waterslide, a tiny workout area, and some business rooms.

It is, however, cheaper than the other hotels, it's on Disney property, and it's up to the Disney standards.

I've stayed a total of 17 nights at Paradise Pier so far. The hotel is really nice. My DH and I are also going for another 7 nights next month. I really love the Grand, but can't always afford it. Geeze 7 nights at the Grand is more than my whole week and airfare. The walk isnt that bad, we cut thru the Grand and walk over to Dl main gate. Last vkay we needed to do laundry. I went to guest services and asked about using the Grand's laundry room. They called over and had it all set up. We just had to get a key from the desk at the Grand and turn it back in when we were done. Guest services rocks. The swimming pool at Paradise is nice in my openion, not that I go that often. We mainly stay in the park from open to close. Basically you can't go wrong with any Disney property you stay at.

Are you serious?!?! They have a laundromat? That's awesome! Man, I wished we had known that when my little cousin barfed on his shirt and we ended up hand-washing out the stains for two hours that night!

Thanks, KennedyJane!

I also agree in that it is a great Disney hotel for the money. It was a very comfortable room with a great view of California Adventure.

I have stayed at PPH several times and will be there again July 26-28 concierge Upper theme park view for my birthday. I thoroughly enjoy PPH and it's definitely worth the $$$. I enjoy DLH and DGC as well but when I want a great time and great service at on property I go with PPH.

We have always received excellent service by CMs at all levels, possibly because it is a smaller hotel and they have the time??? I particularly like that fact that everything is in one central building, which is a real treat for DLR and WDW hotels. The theme park view is wonderful.

I have stayed at PPH with 1.5 year old, a 5 year old to trips with all adults and everyone has always had a grand time and no one has ever complained about the walk. You can go through the DGC or to DTD and take the monorail into DL if you do not want to stroll through DTD.

The price I get at PPH usually changes my plans from the other 2 resorts. I have stayed PPH on package specials, AAA room only and hoppers sometimes, and AP rates. This trip I got a good AAA discount on concierge level room only and purchased Deluxe AP.

I say go and enjoy!!! It's DISNEYLAND!!!

I've stayed there and love it! They gave us a view room for no charge simply by asking.

Its a great place to stay, we love it. We've stayed at all three DL hotels and PPH is the best for the money. The park view rooms are wonderful.
