Hmm.. even though the park hours are short, you can still get some good stuff in. During the week, it is less busy, and not all the shows are going on. If you are going during the weekend, the fireworks do go on then. Off season, exspecially during the week, is a good time to get some serious riding done. The lines for the attractions seem to be shorter, but you should/could still get fastpasses for the major attractions. You can enjoy just being at the park more, and seeing the things you normally dont get to see or do. I would see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show, which is absolutly hillarious! See snow white, listen to the bands, shop and look at stores you dont often get to see, spend some more time in the Disney Gallery. This stuff is the stuff you tend to not get to do during those peek seasons, due to the fact that the park is full and ride lines are longer. I would deffinatly just enjoy the park, move a little slower, that is if you are going for more than one day! It is still fun of course, just the weather is different, and the feel of the park is a little different too. I love off season! Hope that helps, and if you have any questions just PM me!

Yeah I think soo. your going on a tuesday and wendsday right??? Im going sometime that week too!!! It all depends on what days my boyfriend has off and we will be going! I might be there those same days you are! But anyways, yeah I dont think it will be too busy. Im mean sure there will be quite a crowd, but nothing like summer time! Everyone is back to school, and right now it might just be regulars like us, locals, and people from other countries on Holiday (vacation). I dont think it will be very busy. It would still be wise to make reservations if you plan to eat at like the Blue Bayou. Im not sure if fantasmic will be playing, I tend to not watch it most of the time, and im not sure if the parade will be running those days are not. But ill find out and post it in this thread! There might be some wait times for bigger rides, but I dont think anything outrageous. Like I said, I would get fastpasses for the major attractions if the lines seem a bit long. I would spend all day in the park, from opening till closing, cuz of the fact that the park is only open a limited amount of hours during this time.

Sounds good I will let you know! I will actually have my fiance ( who is a member on here to but is not on here as often as I am) and my 16 month old daughter, but I think it will still be great to meet you and other members on VF. Ill let you know if I will be there on those days when I figure all of it out. Yeah if anyone eles is going Oct 11-12 let us know! We could schedule a meet up or something.
So anyways I did some research and this is what I found out:
Disneyland Park Hours: 10:00am to 8:00 pm (both nights)
DCA Park Hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm (both nights)
Parade of Dreams in DL: will be showing at 7pm both nights
Block Party Bash in DCA: will only be showing 5:15pm the 11th; will not be on the 12th
Alladdin of Snow White will not be playing.
Fantasmic or Remember Fireworks will not be playing eaither.

So its not to eventfull on those days but thats ok! Thats how off season is. Hours are short and only on the weekends is when the parks go all out. But anyways, your trip will still be fun!

I am going to be there the 13th-18th with my family. We like going in October because of the weather and less crowds. The downfall is the last time we went in October the crowds were huge and the weather was unseasonably hot. The crowds were due to schools in the southwest of the US on some sort of break (that is what the talk around the park was). It was surprising to see all the people during that time of year. Hopefully this time it will be better.
