Blue Bayou is awesome!! When you know what day you are going to be there call 714 781 DINE to make your reservations within 60 days of the date you want.

Swinging gondolas on the Sun Wheel can be scary. It is different. My best friend loves Tower of Terror, but freaked out on the swinging gondolas this weekend.

Fantasmic is definitely worth it! Camp out early in front of Pirates and sit right along the water. You might get a little mist from the show, but in August you will welcome it.

HAVE FUN!!

I would agree with skipping DCA. Make sure you do everything at Disneyland that you want to do first, then if you have time go to DCA.

At the Blue Bayou ask for a table by the water - sometimes it's a bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. The smaller the party usually the less time you have to wait. I personally love DCA, my kids like the Sun Wheel - my girls 11 & 13 go on the swinging gondolas and I ride the non-swinging gondola with my 9 year old son (I really prefer the swinging car, oh well...) You have to see Fantasmic.

Haven't tried the new stuff at Blue Bayou, its expensive, but you mainly go for the ambiance.

The Sun Wheel can scare the wits out the people not because of the motion but because of perception that you're gonna fall off when you can almost see directly downward plus no seat belts so you don't have that sense of security.

Its not worth seeing the 9pm Fantamic (you'll miss getting a great spot for the 50th fireworks in the central hub). A lot of people start staking out spots around 6:30pm. Go to the 10:30pm showing instead (there's plenty of available viewing areas in that showing).

Fantasmic is a no doubt must see attraction/show. Blue Bayou I heard is a good place to eat eventhough it is expensive. It is more wise to do Disneyland one day then Disney's California Adventure the next day. Make sure you go on all the good rides at both parks and use the fast pass whenever you can. It may still be crowded. But not as bad as July. Have a good time.
