When I took my husband for his first ever trip to Disneyland, I told him we were going to start it as if he were a kid. We got there at opening, walked through the castle and started with Fantasyland. He really enjoyed it and insisted on doing the same thing with his parents when they went with us (their first trip) the next year. Ear hats and Mickey balloons optional. :)

I love that idea, Rachele!! Hey, PMA812 -- are you going to be staying on DLR property, or day-tripping it? If you'll be staying at the resort, you'll get Early Entry, and can do all the Fantasyland rides before they get crowded. Another idea would be to go around and do the original Disneyland rides first (if you go on the official Disneyland website, they tell you which rides are "1955 originals"). Or how about looking for Hidden Mickeys? Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a WONDERFUL time!!

Go to City Hall and get a "First Trip to Disneyland" badge, when you have one while you are walking through the CMs will say high to you and ask you how you are enjoying yourself. Thinks like that, they do that if you have a birthday pin on as well. It is fun.
