Default Fantasmic premium seating.

I just booked seats for my sister's birthday. Has anyone done it recently? Can anyone share their experience with me? I am sure that it will be worth the money, but I was hoping to hear from people who have done it.

I thought Disneyland no longer had them after The Disney Gallery was closed to be converted to The Dream Suite. Tell me all about it.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

I know a little about this because we have a few friends who work the VIP section for Fantasmic. I don't know how much is costs but it used to be $40 per person. It is a roped off section off to the left side of the River when you are facing the stage, kitty corner to HM. There are chairs there and you can show up just before the show begins and are guaranteed a set. However when you sit there you get complimentary beverages(non alcoholic of course) and treats like cookies or they used to have huge chocolate dipped strawberries. It is a good place to sit but you are mainly viewing the left water screen and will see the dragon from the side. Due to the large crowds every day right now, that is probably the easiest way to make sure you will see the show without camping out for hours. Hope that helps?
Oh, and there used to be VIP seating on the balcony of what is now the Dream Suite but it is now mainly for who ever is staying at the Dream Suite.

The seats cost $59 a person and I booked them over the phone. I was automatically booked for the river's edge so I don't think the balconies are available anymore.

Can anyone tell me more about the view?

The view is great! You're not fully center but you're close enough and your a little above the other people so you won't have anyone blocking your view. Plus it's nice to sit in an actual chair and get drinks and goodies. :) I did this with my daughter back in Jan and we're doing it again in a couple weeks.

I went to DL tonight and walked by VIP on the way to HMH and I had forgot, so please forgive me, that there are two VIP sections now. There still is the original one a little off to the left and there is one almost dead center by the huge lighting pole for the show. I don't know if the better seating is first come first serve or if it is in order of who ordered the seat first. I looked for my friend who is a lead for VIP there but she wasn't there tonight. I don't have her number or I would call for you. You may want to just get there early and ask for the center section and if I find out more I will let you know. Either way you have a comfortable seat and snacks at least.

You have to sign in at a podium next to the reserved seating an hour before the show starts. At that time they'll assign your seats, if you're first you'll get your pick of seats. HTH!

Thanks to everyone for the replies. It sounds like we're in for a great time no matter where we are seated!

I am not sure if you have gone yet or not, but here is my experiance.
We went one night and waited forever and had to stand because the area infront of the rivers of america was full. We noticed the reserved sections.
The next day we went to the city hall and orderd our tickets.
followed their directions and we were able to choose our seats.
The primium seating was not cheap but we felt it was worth it and hope to do it again. My daughter was so happy with the desert tray that she took a picture.

TrampsLady, thank you for telling me. It does seem like an amazing place to watch Fantasmic!. I'm hoping the smokers section doesn't get crowded too.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
Sesshomaru-sama
