Wink Family of 6 needs help :)

Hello all. My name is Rhonda...my family are venturing to California from Oklahoma June 2007. We have 6 in our party. I have been doing research of hotels off the park. I have read all kinds of reviews...I would like to know if any of u have stayed at the PPI or the Carousel Inn. Those are the 2 I have narrowed down to that can accomodate our family without costing us a fortune.

So any recommendations are welcome!

Unfortunately I haven't stayed at either one of those (at least, not that I remember) but, if money isn't a big issue, I'd recommend a resort hotel just for the convenience. If you'd like I can tell you more, but it's up to you.

Either way, you'll be sure to have a great time.

Hotels of Disneyland Resort (repost)

Have you seen this? It's a list of hotels around the Disneyland Resort. I don't know if there's reviews there but that thread might help!

If the PPI is the Park Place Inn, then yes, I've stayed there before. It's a really good place to stay, clean and close to DL! We've never had a problem staying there. The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are comfortable. We really liked it because of the location. When the kids got tired, we could just walk across the street and be at the hotel. I haven't stayed at the other place. Hope this helps.

My party of six stayed at the Comfort Inn Maingate. We got the family suite. The main room has two queen beds, a t.v., refridgerator, and a full bathroom. You can then walk through a door, that can be left open or shut, and you are in another room that has a t.v., one set of bunk beds, and another full bathroom. Not only is it nice to have that many beds with six people, but it is a LIFE SAVER to have two full bathrooms. Without this we probably wouldn't have made it to the park until lunchtime!! The price was very reasonable and it also included a decent sized continental breakfast. It is a couple blocks from Disneyland, but if you get ART bus passes, it is really convenient to get to and from the park. Hope this helps!! Have a blast on your trip and let us know how it goes.

I know you've already narrowed it down, but did you consider the desert inn & suites?

I just booked us there for september.

2 rooms suite, with 4 queen beds, 99 bucks a night.

And it is directly across from the entrance plaza. Nothing is really closer unless you are staying at the resort hotels.

PPI: park place inn?? I have stayed there an I loved it. we have stayed there twice and are staying there again this summer. we had a group of 6 and another family we were traveling with did too. both of our groups loved it. it is right across the street, and it was a pretty big room. we had two beds and a pullout couch. it was very good.

I also have a family of six. We stayed at the Residence Inn Maingate and it was worth the money. It is cheaper then the disney hotels but its awesome, clean, and the staff are friendly.

Check out the Park Vue Inn before you decide. We just had a family suite, 2 rooms, 3 queen beds, fridge and micro, for $1,100 for 8 nights. That included all taxes and fees. It is so close, right at the crosswalk to Disneyland on Harbor. They have a website.
