Dream trip this Monday

Though I've been to Disneyland the past few years, I'm finally taking, after 15 years of wishing and 2 years of financial planning (lol!) my dream trip to Disneyland. Five full days, staying at the Disneyland Hotel, multi-day park hoppers. Its my last big trip before the real world kicks in, so I'm hoping to enjoy it to the fullest, and while I will definitely keep returning to the park, it may be a while before I get to really splurge like I am this year, so I'm really looking forward to it!

So until Monday, I'm just watching my Disney movies and reading my Disney books, getting in the Disney spirit and getting giddy with excitement like only kids and us VFers can do! :)

Disneyland... I love this place! :D

Congratulations! Hope you have a great time.

I'm in the early stages of planning just such a trip; (I'm turning 40, you know. By my way of thinking, there's no better way to celebrate the passing of the years than to go to the Happiest Place on Earth).

Must do while you're there:

1. Schedule dinner at the Blue Bayou
2. Ask several times to sit in the front/back of many of your favorite attactions.
3. Ask to have the opportunity to steer the Mark Twain from the wheelhouse.
4. Eat a warm, tasty Churro at dusk.
5. Go across one evening and watch the Main Street Electrical Parade

#1, 2, and 5 are def. in the plan, though this time I would love to sit in front of the Monorail. I'll definitely have to ask about steering the Mark Twain (any recommendations on when/who to ask about this?), and of course nothing beats a Churro (or a Dole Whip float... or both!) at dusk!

Funny, but me and Zip will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel the 16th through the 21st. We have a thread set up under the meets and events section. If you want you can join up with the meet.

^Hey Wendy. Cool coincidence! Ironically I was just thinking about you today... I came across an old post you wrote about why Disneyland is so magical for you, and it fits my feelings so perfectly that I saved it and enjoy reading it, reliving all those wonderful memories.

hey ill be getting there Monday as well so can i bunk with you in the DL hotel haha...jk ill be staying across at the Tropicana Inn & Suites, last year i got to stay at the California Grand it was so fun...i hope next time we can stay at the DL hotel i heard it was so "DISNEY" which sounds AWESOME!!! well have fun because i know i will
