Default DL closing at 11 this summer

The word is out on the other boards that DL is closing at 11pm, Sundays through Thursdays, beginning on July 9th. My reaction was "no-way", but I went to the disney's webpage and sure enough the calendar lists DL closing at 11 on those days. If you are headed down this summer double check the hours for your time there.

DCA is also closing one hour earlier than previously posted.

This is really beginning to tick me off. The cost of my AP goes up, but the hours that I can enjoy Disneyland are getting shorter.

I know last summer when we were there, the website said that Disneyland closed at 11:00, but when we were riding the tram every day, there was an announcement that said, "For your added enjoyment, Disneyland will be open until midnight tonight." You just never know. To be honest, by 11:00, I am spent and ready for bed anyway, but I can sure see your point, JLDickerson. AP's cost a lot of $$!!

I guess even if the attractions close at 11:00, we can still hang around Main Street USA till midnight. We will have to see what they decide to do..

I'm an early-bird by nature; 11PM is late enough for me...It still gives us plenty of time to enjoy Disneyland After Dark

I liked it when the attractions closed at midnight and main street closed at 1am. most people can only get to DL once a year, and the summer is the most popular time, I dont know why they have to close at 11 in the summer.

They seem to decide based on crowds. We went on Yom Kippur last fall and it was so crowded the park announced a two-hour extension.

May I recommend clearing out of DCA before the fireworks show starts (as they begin to shut down all the rides at DCA) if you plan to spend anytime in DL before it closes. It took us 20 minutes to re-enter the park. Then I nearly trampled by mindless people pushing a stroller into the back of my legs.. Main Street becomes utterly clogged, but we were able to ride Space Mtn and Star Tours again. By 11, we were ready to pack it up anyways, and spent an hour or so in the central plaza waiting for more of the traffic to be over with. My only quam was with DCA closing an hour before it was scheduled to. It felt like a ghost park. TOT even closed early, probably due to low volume of riders (we rode it 4 times that afternoon with no lines!)
