Default DL closes 6pm Oct 27 (private party)

Disney's calendar has DL closing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th. The closing time for dates surrounding the 27th is 8 p.m. Is there a private party or is this a mistake?

Yep found it..They did the same thing on the 21st...Though it was posted at 6pm closing I knew they were having an event and sometimes you get a CM that gives a little more info than needed...Lot's of Aussies this week..Disney really needs to keep up with the Anaheim Convention Center and redo it's hours...

Shado, the TripAdvisor Anaheim Forum has two ongoing threads for Aussies going in Sept. and Oct./Nov. You will be seeing (and hearing) many folks from down under throughout the fall.

Default Disneyland closing early

So I was just looking at the calendar on the Disneyland website for this week, and it looks like Disneyland closes at 5pm on this Tuesday, 10/28. Is there a special event going on that night? I also noticed that DCA is staying open until 9 that night.

Does DCA stay open longer that Disneyland a few times a year? Until I recently moved to SoCal and bought my annual pass, I only ever went to Disneyland during Summer, so I never experienced Disneyland closing that early, or DCA staying open longer than Disneyland, but maybe it happens more than I realize.

Default Solar event brings in $ millions

solar event brings in millions

Disney-area solar event set to bring in $12 million

Orange County Register
A major solar power convention that began today is expected to bring $12 million to the local economy, according to the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau.

About 16,000 hotel rooms were booked for Solar Power International 2009, which runs today through Thursday, according to the bureau. Planners are expecting between 17,000 and more than 20,000 people at the event at the Anaheim Convention Center, which is near the Disneyland Resort, according to different estimates.

UPDATE: Solar Power convention will have a private party at Disneyland tonight. Disneyland is closing early at 5 p.m. to the public.

Register reporter Pat Brennan is covering the event. Read his solar power story here and follow his coverage all week on the Green OC blog.
