Exclamation Disneyland and DCA christmas info

Ok so my family and I (we're four) are going with our family friends (they're 5 that equals 9 in total) to DLR in Christmas for the 1st time yay!
Anyway, we are planning to stay there 2 days, arrive and check in the 24th (not in a DLR hotel but I will come with that later if I need help) and that same day go to DCA and the 25th to Disneyland.

Now my questions:
1) How crowded does DCA get in Christmas Eve?
2) How crowded does DL get in Christmas?
3)Since we are a large group, any ideas on where to eat, and where's the cheapest and bla bla?

Oh right now I don't need help in hotels but just in case I need I will post them here.

Thanks!

I've never been ON Christmas, but I've heard that it's pretty packed on Christmas Eve. Tell me all about it when you get back! That will be really awesome!

I have also heard that in Christmas Eve it's crowded, but in Christmas there's less people.

My family and I (there were 8 of us) went on both days last year, and while it was busy, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I would advise you to get there as the park opens each day because we noticed that once 11:30 or noon hit, the park got more and more crowded. Your biggest help will be fastpasses- use them A LOT!

If you have any more concerns or questions, just email me and I would be glad to offer you some more information. :) Happy trip planning!

BEWARE!!!!!! if you don't mind lines and crowded passageways you should be fine, and remember fast passes are your friends not your enemies

Fastpasses are friends, not food!

*awkward silence*

Well, I guess they might have some sort of... fiber.

ANYWAY.

I've never been there on either day... it would just seem weird, for some reason. I was there two days after Christmas Day, once, though, but that was long ago and I can't remember how crowded it was.

^^According to the Disneyland website, Disneyland closes at 9 pm and DCA closes at 7:00 on Christmas Eve.

According to reports by Darkbeer, those are some of the most crowded days of the year. Attendance is highest between Dec. 23 and Jan. 6th. Why not go earlier in the season when it is less crowded, maybe see the Candlelight Processional?

2 years ago, when I went there for the holiday season for the first time, it was super crowded.

Since we went on December 28, I thought it wouldn't be as busy. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I managed to get on 7 rides the whole day. By the way, FastPasses ran out or something when I went there. -_-' Not cool.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

Usually July 4th and around the holiday season is when both parks tend to get very crowded. I would advise those to go sometime in late November/early December since it will get worse as the month of December progresses. I've seen it before and it's a madhouse getting through Disneyland. Plus now I can see snow falling down Main Street again!

^That worries me...

I've bumped up the day to December 22, 23, and 24 (It used to be 23~25)
I'm hoping that at least the 22nd will be not as busy... *fingers crossed*
