Default Disneyland Crowds

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone might be able to comment on crowd conditions at DLR considering that state of the nation's economy... I am guessing that gas prices and joblessness have caused many people to curtail their travel plans. Am I right? Or, is that good ol' Disneyland magic still packing them in this summer...

Have a magical day.

Still packing them in. Summer weekdays are your best bets; avoid Saturdays like Splash Mountain without a fastpass.

Stay Away!!!! the park is crowded every day until the august. if at all possible wait until the end of august to visit. if you have to come during summer try to utilize the fast pass and single rider as much as you can. also, if you are going to DCA then your odds of less "Crowdedness" will go down by a significant amount. after the fire works DL attendance drops by more then half so that is the best time to hit the highlights (indi, space Ect.)

Have Fun!

TSM has an opening wait time of 2.5 hours. Then it dies down to 1 hour. If you are lucky enough, they might open the single rider line..I was fortunate enough to stumble on it twice...but other times I have been denied.

Have a great trip!

We were there most recently on June 16 and 17 and the park was a madhouse! School is out, and everyone seems to be flocking to Disneyland. If you don't want crowds, I'd wait until after Labor Day to go. On a side note, days that there are no fireworks and Fantasmic the park is much calmer, but I think those days don't begin again until September.

If you're local, you might want to try Sunday nights... there are still people there, but they're manageable people. However if you're crowdphobic, you might just want to avoid it all together until the end of summer.

I went June 16 as a guest and there were no crowds at all.

Tower of Terror, Monsters' Inc., Soarin', Orange Stinger, Mulholland Madness,
and Haunted Mansion was a walk on. Other attractions was a little wait. Only long waits was Nemo and TSM (60 & 55 minutes).

As of now, the crowds are getting larger. Some days it will be packed and some not. If there is a day in summer where it rains, then expect 75-100 people being at the park.

This is rather personal and please note that it is not meant to offend, but does anyone in your party have ADD ADHD or any other medical condition (even a hip replacement could work) that makes it difficult to wait in long lines? if so, you can go to Guest Relations in City hall and get a Guest assistance card which will allow you to use the handicapped line or at some rides, go through the exit. keep in mind this only works for up to six people though. once again please note that this is not meant to be offensive.

also be sure to stay late as 60-70% of the guests in the park leave after the fireworks (9:45 or so). after that time DL is much more enjoyable.

Have fun!

We were in both parks June 12 - 14 and it was great - no lines or very small lines. We were back June 21 - 26 and both parks were very crowded. We were staying at the DLH and took advantage of early entry days and got out of DL by 10:30 a.m. because of all the people streaming in. We went back to the parks around 7:00 p.m. and it was still crowded, but not as bad as the middle of the day. We were surprised by the crowds because the DLH was not full (the parking lot was only 1/3 full, usually you have a hard time finding a parking place if you move your car in the middle of the day.) We used the Monorail for early entry and there was just a small line from the Disney Hotels - there were huge early entry lines at the Main Gate, so I imagine the Good Neighbor Hotels are very full. The parks were just as full as when we were there for Spring Break (we were expecting crowds for Spring Break.) We were planning a trip for August, but now we will wait for a long weekend in the Fall if our school calendar has one. I think people are planning vacations now because things will probably get more expensive as the year progresses. Crowded or not, we still had an amazing time (except for the man who knocked my daughter down to get a Dream Fastpass...)

I doubt anyone would be offended by you asking Andrew1955. You could probably even get one if you got a note from the Dr saying you are easily affected form heat exhaustion! I know for a fact that people have gone in and faked an illness/ injury to get those passes. If you really need one, that is a great way to enjoy the park when you otherwise wouldn't be able to, but by all means, don't fake it :) Then you'll have to live with the guilt all day!
As for the staying late, that's a great idea. My family always does Fantasyland from 11-12 cause most of the kids are gone for the night and we can go, go, GO!

Tropikenzi, don't die from heat stroke out there in the end of July!! AGH!!

you would be surprised who has gotten upset with me in the past about things that i thought would not be offensive. but your right most people should not be mad about a statement like this. guess im just paranoid now. (sorry quite off topic this.)

OK so is this avaible again? My Mom has a surgery years ago that effected her for standing for long periods of time so we used to get the Guest Assistance pass but then we were told that a Dr's note isn't enough & due to all the people faking it was much harder to get one. They offered us a wheelchair but said that she could only use the fastpass lines. Where we used to just go through they exit.

I may have her call guest relations and double check today.
