Default Disneyland Birthday?

My next trip to DL will be on September 29th, which happens to be mah birfday!

I can't seem to decide whether or not I want to tell them that, or just lay low.

I'm not too fond of being singled out, yet on the other hand the promise of free cake and other goodies is very enticing.

any of you folks have some light to shed on this?

thankies.

I'm going for my birthday as well in September, never really done that, at least not with a pin saying so.

We went for our honeymoon last October and they gave us a pin for that. Everywhere we went, Cast Members would say "Congratulations." It was nice. It'll probably be the same but "Happy Birthday" everywhere.

I'd say go for the button at Town Hall. The Cast Members give you special attention without singling you out or embarrassing you, and always tell you "Happy Birthday, [your name here]!" (you write your name on your button). They're always very kind and seem genuinely happy for you, and talk to you like they're old friends of yours. It's really a unique experience at Disneyland. If you have the opportunity, go for it!

It's a nice experience if you get the button. People tell you "happy birthday" all day long. :)

One time I went to WDW for my little sis's birthday. We were at DHS (Back when it was MGM) We went on all of the rides thhat we wanted... Then, about noonish, at least 4 rides broke down (Tot, St, RRC, GMR, to name a few) We went to guest relations and we told them that it was her b-day and they gave us park hoppers for the day. We ended up going to all four parks...I don't know if the fact that it was her b-day got us the tickets, but I'm sure it helped

Definetely get the pin. It's really nice to be told happy birthday all day long. It just makes the day so much better. When I went on Screamin' they even went out of their way to announce my birthday on the speakers. It was so cool!

I'm going with my brother and two of his girl friends, and both of them are celebrating their birthday there, I heard about going to city hall for the buttons, is there anywhere else in the parks where they can go for birthday stuff? Thanks!

I wish I could go on my birthday weekend, but it's alway Gay Day and it's way too crowded!

You can go to the Info Station on Main Street in Disneyland, the Guest Relations counter in DCA, or the Info Station at DCA to get a button. You can also go to Storyteller's Cafe and get one there (I don't think it's the same one, but I'm not sure). I know the Plaza Inn does stuff for birthdays but you have to reserve ahead of time and it's kind of pricey.

I'm sure if you mention it to someone at the shops, and they're an AWESOME CM, they can go get you one. I saw a CM at Star Trader do this for someone who had mentioned it was their first time. He totally went out of his way to get this guest a button and I was like, man, that's pretty awesome. :)

By the way, freebies -- you get a free pack of tortillas at the Mission Tortilla Factory at DCA, and a free cookie at the Pacific Wharf Cafe that's right next to it. Those are all the freebies I know of. :)
