Default Blue Bayou question

Is it absolutely necessary to get a reservation? Because I tried calling the Disney Dine line but I kept getting transferred and being put on hold and didnt get to talk to anybody...

I'll try again but Im planning on eating there on Wednesday... what should I do? Will it be a ridiculous wait?

Well the one thing i suggest, is when u first get to the park wed morning, run over there. and make your reservation then. Not many people call, and its the best time. then you can hit pirates after thats wat my disneyland guide book says to do. Best of luck.

We (my husband and I) have done both. The first time we went was with some friends and we booked the reservations a month before we came. The second time was later that year with my family. We walked in, but it was during a weekday. I think we ended up waiting about 30 minutes, but they did allow walk-ins as long as they were not booked up. You can ask at the desk if they have any open spots, but if you are not calling in a reservation, they usually tell you that they can only sit you on a first come, first serve basis and that you must stay and wait. But if you cannot, under any circumstances get through, try going directly to the restaurant as soon as it opens and see if they will make you a reservation for later in the day. It has been my experience that the staff is very gracious and accomidating.

Isn't there a place in Main Street U.S.A. where you can make reservations for Blue Bayou?

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

You can also make reservations thru the concierge desk at any of the resort hotels (if you're staying in one).

Plus, you can always do as I have and call during the day from a ride line on your cell phone. You can just keep checking back to see if they have had any cancellations. I've gotten in a couple times like that.

Once on a off-off-off season day (Space and Splash Mountains were walk-ons) I walked over to Blue Bayou in the morning and the earliest I was able to get in was at 2:00 PM. I would sure keep trying to call if I were you. Calling for cancellations or no-shows is another good idea.

Yeah, reservations make things MUCH quicker; even with reservations you sometimes have to wait for a bit...

I suggest you try to reserve it when you get to the Disneyland Entry Plaza. You can make reservations there. It's a late notice so you might not get your reservation when you want it, but I've done it before and it's better than waiting forever in that small room.
