Default AP Hotel Rates?

Hey everyone!!

I am an annual pass holder and was looking to book a trip for either middle october or sometime in december. I went to disneyland.com and then to the ap website and noticed that the prices for the hotels are the same. And it did not matter what days I picked- the prices were never cheaper. I thought since I was choosing to go in the off season that I would be able to find some discounts. Do I have to call and beg? Or should I just book through AAA and be done with it? Thanks much.

Just call hotel reservations. Tell them you are an AP holder and you would like rates for a specific date. No need to beg. Just for reference, we called the other day, and Grand California Standard room in August is $360 per night.

..Was that just a normal reservation? Because I do believe that is what is quoted on the AP site as well. I will definitely try calling and see where it leads- I wasn't too successful last year. Thanks!

At Mousesavers.com, they have some special discounted rates, I mean I guess they are same anywhere. But at least you can check it out, for the Howard Johnson Hotel you 20% off, I believe or maybe its 15%. I would check that out.

Reserved a room for September 1 and 2 yesterday at the Disneyland Hotel, I got it for $225 a night. Still pricey but well worth it I'm sure. I've never stayed there before, can't wait.

I apologize for my ignorance, but what is AP7? Would I be able to get that rate even if I've already reserved a room? Obviously, I'd rather spend less on a room and more on fun stuff in the park. Am I too late?

I assume you have an Annual Passport because you got the $225. I had my rooms already reserved and then they released the promotion rate. You call and ask to change your current reservation to the AP7 promo rate.

Paridise Pier is as cheep as $139
Disneyland Hotel $149

Hope that helps.
