Default Annual Pass

I have a question, I go to Southern Cali alot like 6 to 10 times a year since I have family there and I live in Northern Cali, anyway, could a family member buy a annual pass for me or does my ID have to say I live in so cal to get the so cal Annual Pass rate? How does the AP work at each visit to the park?

Thanks!

To get the SoCal pass, you have to show your ID and it has to have a SoCal address. Your relatives won't be able to buy it.. we tried haha :)

Warning:

You purchase a SoCal AP, you get the crowds only seen on New Years. Just to warn you.

I showed them my ID (which is a northern california one) but told them that I was attending college down there. They simply asked my zip code, which was 91321... and they let me buy mine. No proof at all.

I just purchased a Deluxe Annual Pass on my birthday, and I had a SoCal pass last year. If I go on days that are blocked out for SoCal pass holders, will the crowds tend to be a bit less, for example on Saturdays?

It definitely is, because SCAP, are blocked out on Saturdays. Take for instance the hot mess that happened last sunday, when I went and forgot wat BCC posted. I spent two hours waiting for parking.

I know my old pass had a "Valid Through" designation, in which case the pass is valid on the date listed as the "valid though" date.

I had a question about the monthly payment plans for annual passes. I'm thinking of buying one in the next week or so on the monthly payment plan, but the only proof I have that I'm a socal resident is my leasing agreement for my apartment. Should I bring a copy of that with me just in case? My license, etc still say my old address in norcal.

I bought my deluxe pass today! The copy of my lease agreement was good enough, and they added parking onto the monthly payment so it was $24 instead of $18. I'm very excited. =D

But it's only $24 for 10 months, and then it goes back to $18 for the last 2 right?
