Danduck, I believe the Candlelight Ceremony is on the 2nd and 3rd ro somewhere around there. That is the only thing I can think of that is going on in the beginning of December. It may be a convention or something else. You can always call the hotel and ask why their rates are higher during that time, they will usually tell you.

Well, me and my family stay at Anaheim Plaza Inn & Suites. We get a faimly suite that sleeps 8 people on queen size beds, two showers. What I loved was the LARGE counterspace! With 8 people trying to hurry at get to the park, we weren't pushing and shoving to get space. Also, the sink basins are located outside the shower. Which is awesome cause even more people can get ready. The hotel has a restaurant on the premises. There is also an olympic sized heated pool and hot tub! I won't lie, this is not the most up to date hotel, but the rooms are clean and we dont spend alot of time there. We stayed there for $15 per person per night! Not too bad at all!

Default Anaheim Plaza Inn and Suites

Here is my take on the place:

The Anaheim Plaza Inn and Suites - 1700 South Harbor

This motel is exactly as you would expect a motel for $60 a night, close to the park, to be. And if I haven't not mentioned it enough, this is a MOTEL, not a HOTEL!! Don't expect 5 stars service from any MOTEL. I consider MOTELS a place to clean up and crash for the night. Nothing more. With that said, on with my review.

I stayed at this motel October 6 - October 9, 2006.

The place was resonably clean.

Beds were comfy. (Some people may find the beds a bit to soft)

Air conditioning units could be loud if turned up all the way. However they did work well. (I like the room freezing when I sleep)

Hot water in showers was fine, pressure a little low, but not a problem. Shower nozzle a bit low for me (I'm 6' and I think the nozzle are at 5'6")

Hot water to the sinks did take a bit of time to warm up, but were fine once the hot water got there.

Staff was friendly.

Check in was listed at 3:00 PM, but was able to check in when we got there at 2:00PM.

Walk to the gates at the park - Approx 7 minutes.

I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for somewhere close, clean and not very expensive.

I did have a "family suite". This is basically two rooms with a connector door.

Both rooms had color TV sets. Plenty of channels to choose from. (For those who need a tv on to sleep .. I know you are out there!! LOL )

One room had a Refrig and Microwave oven. The other room did not. The refrigerator and microwave were clean, and worked very well!!

If you are getting a regular room, I think you may have to request a Refrig and/or microwave be put in the room.

Also some rooms do have Patios/Balconies, the room I had did not. I believe this is something that you have to request as well when making a reservation.

The property did have a rather good size pool and hot tub. However, I did not use these while there, and can not comment on them.

Also, I noticed the place had a coin-op laundry room. Again, I did not use it, so can not give any futher comments on it.

That is all.

Arrow hotel reviews thread

Definitely not the EconoLodge on Katella, it was inexpensive, but the bed was like a slab of cement.

You may want to check the Anaheim hotel reviews thread over in the trip planning forum.

I would go to the Holiday Inn on Walnut. That one is very, very, good. My mom and I had a fablous view of the DLR Parking Structure!

Our family usued to be Park Vue loyalists starting in '86, but after a few years the quality began to lag and it just wasn't worth the price anymore.

For $10 more we switched to Howard Johnson and haven't ever had a problem with them. Many people say that there's freeway noise, but we've never had that issue. Uncontestable are comfy rooms, a short walking distance, and the staff is simply incredible. You know how CMs create that famed DL atmosphere with being helpful and friendly (save for those few rare exceptions)? To me, the HoJo staff feels like an extension of that. I couldn't be more pleased with them. They're definately worth a shot if you don't have a previous hotel affiliation or are lookign for something new.

Candy Cane Inn, they offer a shuttle to the park for free as well. Even though the park is like 5 minutes away in walking distance. It's actually on the same block as Disneyland, but hey, a free shuttle, why not?

When my mother and I decided to go to Disneyland and left the next day, we stayed at the Motel 6 on Chapman AVenue. It's too far for walking, but it is only about a 5 minute drive to the parking structure. It was fairly cheap, clean and the lady at the desk was incredibly nice.

The Fairfield Inn across the street is clean and pretty decent price wise. If you don't mind staying about 7 minutes driving time from the hotel you can do the Anaheim Park Inn as well, it's located in Fullerton just right outside of Anaheim. It's cheap, clean and not too far from all the action.

A friend directed me to the 1/2-star Parkside Inn and Suites beside the Anaheim Convention Centre and behind California Adventure. All things considered, I actually liked it far more than the Red Roof Inn that I stayed at the first time, which was 3 stars and a Good Neighbour Hotel.

The Parkside is a nice walk in the morning past the Grand Californian and Paradise Pier and through Downtown Disney. The hotel itself works quite well as a place to sleep between days at DL. Clean, hairdrying, microwave and mini-fridge. If you have multiple people, they also can have adjoining rooms (my buddy and I had that... it was like a clubhouse for a week). It includes a "continental breakfast" if you don't mind prepackaged, vending machine-type danishes and bad coffee.

And it's cheap. It cost me $39 CANADIAN a night through Expedia.

the FairFeild is good but it's not for Last minute Lodging there always booked like 3 months before we make any planes to go to DLR.

The Qulaity Inn and Suites (formerly Penny Sleeper Inn) is an okay place to crash. I know it always has vacancy because it's so well hidden and close. We stayed their during it's remodel so it was kinda loud and dirty around the property but otherwise a great place to sleep.

My choice would be the Del Sol Inn or a Disney Hotel

I don't know how they are for last minute. But I'll never stay anywhere other than the Desert Inn & Suites, Best Western Park Place Inn, or the Park Vue Inn.
