I really love TA, but I couldn't figure out my question from whats been said online. I will be staying at the Best Western Pavillions towards the beginning of October. Their site says the have "high speed internet" but it doesn't tell me if it is free or if I have to pay for it. Has anyone stayed there and knows their policy?

Whenever my parents and I go to the Disneyland Resort we either stay at the Desert Palm Inn & Suites or the Anabelle. We like the Annabelle more because they have a better breakfast and I get to walk through the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel. So that is a plus in my mind. Have any of you folks ever stayed at the Annabelle before? What are your thoughts of it?

I've wanted to stay in the Annabelle for awhile now but it's always booked when we go or the prices are super high. For the hunt we stayed at the Fairfield Marriott... LOVE the beds ahhhh. The room could be dirty as sin and falling apart but if the bed is clean and soft I'm a loyal customer :) k maybe not dirty as sin...... :)

I stayed at the Anabelle and really liked it. They have single rooms there that they don't advertise or promote that are inexpensive. It was small, but not cramped, and very elegant. Nice pillow topped bed, too. I only paid $53 a night! I like walking throught he Grand Californian Hotel lobby everyday too.

My family stayed at the Carousel Inn during our recent trip. The room was nice, clean, had comfy beds, and very soft fluffy towels in the bathroom. The location was a definitely a perk. I would definitely recommend it for someone who doesn't mind paying a bit more for their room.
I don't know that we would ever stay there when booking on our own - we stayed there this time as part of a vacation package through Alaska Airlines. For a lot less, and a little longer walk, we usually stay at the Anaheim Plaza - and the rooms are bigger! :)

I found out the answer to my own question...in case anyone else ever needed to know, Pavillions high speed internet is free. Of course you have to stay in one of their rooms though. :)

I just posted my review with some pics at TripAdvisor ... but thought I would post the review here as well.
========================= I booked this MOTEL about 6 months in advance, so got a decent rate of $60 a night for the standard "Deluxe" room. So for that reason I decided to give this MOTEL a try. It is closer to the crosswalk to Disneyland then the other MOTEL is stay at, the Anaheim Plaza. The walk from my room to the entry gate was just shy of 10 minutes. And my room was literally at the very back of the MOTEL on the 3rd floor. Well, this motel is just that, a MOTEL. And it is definitely showing it's age, at least in the room that I had. Although everything seemed nice and clean, and the room did not have any smell of it's age, it just seemed so dingy, and the color scheme outdated. Now, as far as I am concerned, I am the type of traveler who the room is just a place to crash, and the room served that purpose well. The bed was comfortable (though to me the bedding made the bed a little to warm...) Air conditioning worked fine, and kept the room a decent temp and though a little loud on the highest setting, was still acceptable. The only thing that was a little off as far as I am concerned was the height of the shower head. I'm 6' tall, and the shower head was only at about 5 and a half feet. But again, this is an older MOTEL, and I guess when it was built, people were shorter. I never had a problem with the availability of hot water while taking a shower (although the knob for hot and cold water was reversed). The sink did not have the best water pressure, and even still would not drain fast enough. It was nice to have a mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room. And I have to say the fridge worked great! Kept everything nice and cool as it was supposed to (I say this because I have stayed at MOTELS in the area that the fridge just barely kept things cool enough not to spoil). The room also had a small safe in it. It was a nice addition to keep things like spare camera, extra credit cards/cash in. Overall, If I got a really good rate again, I might stay at this MOTEL, but I think that I will book with the Anaheim Plaza for my next trip. The rooms are just a little bigger .. and definitely have more light. (and the price of about $70 a night is good for the area). ================== So there ya have it ... Thanks for your time ..

I wanted everyone to know, don't think of Pavillions as a good place to get internet. I would have slow access for about ten mins, then it would cut out for twenty. Frustrating. Just so everyone knows.

Motel 6 in Orange... don't go there! We stayed on night then found something else. It was a "non smoking" room... the only thing that indicated this was an upside down ash tray that said no smoking..... certainly not helped by the cigarette burns in the blankets. I think the icing on the cake though was watching a cop take a prostitute to his room.... *shudder*

Hi all! We always stay at the Homewood Suites. It is a bit up the street and I don't like having to take the shuttle but I really think it is the best value. The rooms have full kitchens, living areas and seperate bedroom and bathroom. It was starting to get a little run down but they just recently renovated and it's beautiful! The best part is that they serve a full breakfast every day and dinner on Monday through Thursday. Each night it's something different....spagetti, hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken teriaki bowls, fettucini alredo etc....it's pretty good food and it saves a fortune as it is included! It's great because we have a two and a half year old who needs to take a break so we just eat at the hotel and then head back to the park. I have never paid more than 110.00 per night booking on expedia. If you don't mind the shuttle, I think this is a great value!

Oh I forgot, be careful at the Carousel Inn and Suites. We booked there because it is across the street but found out that they charge fees out the wazoo! We always take two cars and they charge 5.00 per night for the first car and 25.00 per night for the second. Crib rentals for the baby are 6.00 per night and internet is 9.95 per day. Our total in fees would have come out to exactly 175.00!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Motel 6. We got one of the newly remodeled rooms. There wasn't carpeting just new hardwood floors. We actually liked it. No smoke or pet smells in the room. It was quiet at night & the staff was always friendly. Our only complaint was relying on the Anaheim Resort Transit to get us to & from the parks. Motel 6 seemed to be the least important of their stops. If they filled their bus, they'd skip us & instead of coming & picking up first the next trip.....they'd do the same route & if there was room, they'd pick up as many as they could. We missed our early entry into ToonTown because we waited for almost an hour & a half for the first bus to come get us. We stood in line before 7am & didn't get to the park until 8:50. I wrote to the company to complain, but they didn't respond......didn't really surprise us.
If you need a cheap place to stay & aren't looking for lots of extras, I'd recommend the Motel 6. We only used the room for sleeping & showering & didn't spend extra down time there.
