Ok. If you were to pick one hotel that is the best for the cheapest(below $100), what would it be?

We have stayed at the Anaheim Sheraton almost exclusively and on many occasions, in fact my youngest daughter learned to swim in the pool there, it's like a second home!
It is mid-range affordable ($145.00, a lot less than the Disney hotels) and has just been redone, it is clean, large rooms, and the most comfortable beds in the industry, which if you ask me is imporatant after walking around the parks for 14 hours! It is a perfect family hotel, not too much $$$ and very nice, they have their own shuttle bus that comes every 1/2 hour...I wouldn't risk going anywhere else....ps. For parents of younger children, the hotel looks like a castle from the outside, which has always delighted my 3 daughers...it's a great choice, you won't be dissapointed...

I really like the Anahiem Plaza Inn Its really close walk to the park and the rooms were clean and big. And it was really cheap. And it had good breakfast. I will stay there as long as its available!

Anaheim Plaza Hotel because they're easy walking distance and cheap. They're actually cheaper than the super 8 or motel 6. They also have a huge and really nice bar and the largest swimming pool I've ever seen at any hotel, except maybe the Disneyland hotel

The Park Vue Inn is cheap if you reserve at least 9 months in advance or if you go during the off season. I just looked at their website and their rates for next month were only $76 so check them first because they're even closer than Anaheim Plaza

Besides the Disneyland hotels I really like the Anaheim Fairfield. Yeah it was the one with the bedbugs but it was really nice when we stayed there. We just recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza and that was a very nice hotel for a cheap price. I think it was like $60 for the one night we stayed. The staff was really friendly and the beds were super comfortable.

So I have been looking for a good week and half to find a nice hotel to stay at for my next trip, in mid-March. To my surprise almost all the hotels on Katella that I had heard of had been booked for the weekend. I figured out there is some Expo in town, which makes sense since Katella is about as close to the convention center as you can get. Anyways, I ended up finding a little motel called "Little Boy Blue Motel". They are asking very very cheap, which is great but I wanted to know if anyone else had stayed there.

Any compliants?

What is it next to?

Would you stay there again?

When was it refurbed?

Thanks in advanced, we are actually planning on booking a little later tonight, so anything anyone can input would be fab. Thanks to all. :)

Most of the time we stay at the grand Calafornia. it has two buetiful pools and wonderful rooms. The view is good if your on the right side and disneyland, downtown disney, and CA are right beside you.

Disneyland hotel is also great but you cant go from your room and back as easy.

Do any of the hotels around DL allow you to make reservations a year or so a head of time ? I'm trying to plan a trip in Aug of 09 .

rememberthemagic, I'm sure they do. You can call ahead to the hotel(s) you want to stay at and double check. If you want a big name hotel ie. Marriott then they do take reservations in advance.

In October of 2007 my dad and I stayed at the Quality Inn Main Gate. Nice hotel with a Jack in the Box right next door, that was great for the late night sugar cravings. We got a double room and it was very clean. Its little fridge wasn't as cold as I had hoped but it did the job. The only thing I didn't like was that the bed was a little firmer than what I'm used to. They have free high speed so that was a big seller. Also they have a free continental breakfast and a pool for the kids. For those of us whom are lazy they also provide shuttle to DL and tickets to the big amusment parks.

You MAY be able to find one but in my experience there is no point in doing so. About 6 months ago I was convinced I was going to be going on a graduation trip with a big group of friends but now I don't even talk to a single person in that group but I am going next week (a good 4 months earlier than planned) with a friend that I barely met. Things can change soooo much in just a few months. I would wait until about two months in advance, don't stress too much. Reserving really far in advance doesn't save you any more money then a month before. Hope that helps.

My last trip I stayed at the Residence Inn and it was great! The beds were nice, not home quality, but what can you do? They serve breakfast every morning and that was probably the thing that won me over the most. The pool area was always clean and tidy. The room was attended every day we were there (2 weeks). I've stayed at the Fairfield, Ramada, and a couple of the smaller hotel/motels and this was (by far) the best experience in the Anaheim area.
