Wilma...a Flinstone Invading WDW?

hey, so i heard hurrican wilma was ravaging florida. any idea if it's near WDW, or is that place safe?

Usually WDW is to tought to fall apart from Hurricanes.. Last year in June it survived a massive hurricane.. I would not worry about WDW usually Hurricanes are so little compared to WDW is just maybe blows some trees down..Thats how I think it is..

It's not exactly "ravaging" Florida, it's basically doing exactly what Florida's prepared for & has gone through multiple times very recently. If you're waiting for another New Orleans, you aren't going to get one. The local government actually has a clue what a hurricane is, how to prepare for it, how to deal with it afterwards and knows full well that FEMA is not a first-responder!

There's going to be flooding, damage, injuries, everything that comes with a natural disaster, but it won't be a kind of earth-shattering event.

I spend quite some time in the Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach area when I go to FL & my Grandma lives there, so I'm a little concerned about them there. Not worried at all though. Those people have their stuff in a group & they know what's going on. I should call her tomorrow to see if all went alright. She's 80 but she's been through so much in her life that a Cat 3 hurricane is a minor blip on her radar screen. Knowing her, if the power goes out, she'll just have another backyard BBQ block party
