Default What's Your Favorite Christmas Carol?

It may be a bit early, but I thought it would be fun to find out what everyone's favorite Christmas carol or even Christmas recording is. What's yours? Mine is Carol of the Bells. I think it is so beautiful. I actually love hearing it sung live, preferrably accompanied with hand bells.

I love Nat King Cole singing O Come All Ye Faithful. There aren't too many Christmas carols/songs I don't like, but that one stands out for me.

What I like about that song is, because I am Catholic, I still get to sing it after Christmas (for Ephinany). It's almost the last Christmas song I hear all year, so I really get into it. I also like seeing kids sing it on Christmas Eve, during the Children's Mass, when they dress up like the three kings. So cute!

Ah, We Three Kings...have you heard of the Steve Ouimette version, it's awesome.

Well, that and the Trans Siberian Orchestra version of Carol of the Bells are my favorites.

I do love Carol of the bells, but my all time favorite is O Holy Night. I love when Faith Hill sings it. In fact, any power voice is good for this one.

oh, gosh...there are so many: Carol of the Bells, of course. The Joan Baez version of The Coventry Carol. The Bing Crosby/David Bowie duet of Little Drummer Boy. The Pretenders 2000 miles. Pavarotti singing O Holy Night. Santa Baby, but Eartha Kitt's version, NOT Madonna's. and any carol sung by Nat King Cole.

I think I need to go eat a candy cane...

In honor of my upcoming trip to Knott's Merry Farm, here are two more of my favs (I have so many too).

Christmas Time is Here

Santa Snoopy - I have only heard this at Knott's and I think there should be a recording of it.

There used to be an awesome male singer in the Christmas saloon show at Knott's and he always sang I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day with a lot of feeling. It would choke me up every time.

Anything off of Bing Crosby's Christmas album. We've play it every year around Christmastime since I was a baby, so it really says "christmas" to me.
