Cool What Vacation would you go to? Disneyland or Walt Disney World?

Hi, over the last few days i have been noticing that people like disneyland more than walt disney world. But how? Disney World is huge, has more to do, and has real animals there. Which do you prefer?
-Thanks, Derrick

There's a lot more to it than size for me. If anything, the size is more of a hindrance. I generally find the quality of theming and attractions to be much better at Disneyland than the Magic Kingdom. And I find the other parks, with the exception of Epcot, are more just to fill my time than actually being a draw in and of themselves. In addition to that, I'm not a big water park person, so those aren't much of a draw for me either. So basically, the Disneyland Resort for me is just WDW without all the fluff.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy going to WDW. That's just my reasoning for giving the edge to the Disneyland Resort.

If I had to choose, it would depend on where I took my last Disney trip. If it was Disneyland, I'd be more likely to want to go to WDW, or vice versa.

true, there is something to say for DL's smaller size that makes it much more charming that WDW. However, vaction-wise i think WDW is the way to go...a once a year thing whereas DL is like a many times a month thing. I just can't see a family spending a whole week at the DLR. it seems like too much time and not enough to do to me. DL I think is much better for a weekend retreat or afternoon retreat than a full blown vacation.

Disneyland all the way!! I've been to WDW many times and it's wonderful, but there is something very special about DL. It has so much more character than WDW...more details..better rides, in my opinion. I'll take my girls to WDW sometime, but right now we're very content with Disneyland.

Yeah, if you live near (or close to) Disneyland, you feel a bigger pull towards that one....after all, it IS the original that WALT himself contributed to, walked around, slept at, etc. WDW has none of that, due to the untimely early departure of our beloved Mr. Disney.

However, if given a choice for a free trip, WDW. Only been there once and BARELY saw anything in the three four days I was there (as it has been mentioned, it's HUGE). So I'd like to take another trip there someday.

idk, some of the original dark rides are better at Dl then WDW, but all the rides break down so often. idk, it's a tie for me.

If money weren't an issue, I would definitely rather take a vacation to WDW! I've never been there before, but I have seen a lot of really interesting things that I would really like to try (like Stitch's Great Escape). I LOVE animals so much, so it would be cool to check out Animal Kingdom.

I love Disneyland a lot, but I've been there so many times already. Plus, I can usually get through both DLR and DCA in a day or two. WDW looks like something that I could do for a week or so. Although the large size is a drawback for me, I'm up for new adventures!

I prefer going to Disneyland because it's just more magical. Remember...it's quality over quantity.
