VF Halloween Story

This is like all the other Holiday stories on VF. This one will be for Halloween. This story should star:

I'll Start:

It was about three hours after Disneyland's closing at 12 AM. Captain Hook, Maleficent, Ursula, And a bunch of Disney villains were discussing how to make Disneyland evil for the halloween season.

"Okay, now that Jack is decking the halls of the Haunted Mansion, what else shall we discuss?" Maleficent Asked


Meanwhile, Mickey Mouse............

...was sitting in his office catching up on some paperwork that had fallen to the wayside of reriding Space Mountain for the eight-hundred and sixty-second time. Mickey didn't much enjoy doing paperwork. He' rather have a pooper-scooper and sweep up all of Main Street by himself before he filled out one food/supply/waste log. The mouse sighed and started to write when suddenly he heard a loud -THUMP- on the window. Relieved to be doing somthing esides annoying paperwork, he got up and hurried over to the window. However, all he could see was his picturesque view of the Hub from sleeping beauty castle.
"Gosh, thats sure strange", Mickey said as he turned around. When he saw his office, or what was left of it, he was horrified. The place had been ransacked and destroyed. They obviously were looking for somthing. Before he could figure out what, his office phone rang.
"Mr. Mouse, we've heard a report of a breakin in your office. Are you OK?" said the newly trained security guard, fresh out of college. Even though the situation called for a fair amount of panic, MIckey replied,
"Not to worry, I'm OK. But please send a security team up at once"
"Right aw-" replied the guard before Mickey hung up the phone. He turned his attention to the present matter at hand. What were they looking for, Mickey wondered. Suddenly, a chill ran up his spine. In an instant he knew. He hurried quickly to his desk and sat down. He opened his bottom right drawer. Unlatched he secret compartment from the back, and pulled out the smooth, red wood box from the drawer. The box was willed to him by his uncle a few days after he died. With a growing sense of dread and appreheinson, Mickey Mouse opened the box and his stomach churned.
The key was gone.

Back in Tomorrowland, Disneyland_DHI, the newest DHI was roaming around. He loved the place, but was getting sick of seeing it every night. Why couldn't he just go to sleep like every other person without these strange Disneyland dreams? He heard the news of the break-in at Mickey's office. And as much as he hated these dreams, he'd be glad to help Mick out, so he was going around land to land, investigating.

Meanwhile...a horse galloped into New Orleans square and came to a slow trot. The man riding the horse was holding two distinct objects in each hand. In his left hand was a pumpkin, which served as the horseman's head. In his right hand was a large gold faded key. Around the edge words were enscribed To all who come to thie happy place, welcome. The horseman did not find value in the sentiment. All he cared about wa getting his money. The large man dismounted and looked around. All he could see was a lone cast member, sweeping up a pile of french fries left for him by a guest, sometime earlier in the day. This will be easy thought the horseman. At the sight of the horseman approaching, the cast member turrned on his heel and rn the other way. The horseman then looked around to make sure no one else could witness. He walked over to the secret door to "Club 33" but kept on walking, three doors down. The slightly opaque number over the door said "36". Very few people knew about Club 33. Only 5 people knew that apartment number 36 held a great many mysteries inside. The horseman closed the door behind him and steped into a small foyer. He asended a flight of stairs, which creaked with every step he took. He didnt mind. He actually would have liked to live here if it wasnt already being inhabited. He reached to turn the knob on the door in front of him when it suddenly swung inward revealing a large room illuminated by candlelight. At the end of the room was a large figure in a dark, hooded cloak. He was looking out a window directly across from the Haunted Mansion, where his evil plan was slowly being implemented.
"Do you have the key?" The figure asked
"Right here" replied the horseman as he set down the key on the table next to him. "My money?"
"I have your reward over here. Come." For some reason, the horsman felt some apprehension, as he approached the figure, but then shook it off. He wanted his money. As he reached out his hand for his bag of gold coins, a sharp pain suddenly appeared in his lower abdomen. He looked down and saw the dagger protruding from his chest. He crumpled to the floor and looked up at his killer. The hosemans last word was,
"Goofy?"

The Killer ran off into the distance and hid in a train tunnel.

Meanwhile, GuruGriff100 and Donald were waking up and got coffee.

"Disneyland opens in 4 hours!" Griff said.
The two were drowsy. they slept in a submarine while hiding from Maleficent who was on a reign of terror. Finn and Maybeck soon came up to Griff.

"Have you seen what Maleficent has done to the castle" Maybeck asked.

Griff.........

got out of his submarine and looked in the direction of the castle. When he saw hat had had happened, he was more annoyed than angry. He was gonna have to clean up after malificents little temper tantrum. Malifecent had.....

Blown fire and scarred half of the castle. It looked horrible.

"Darn" Griff said annoyed.

Alyx92 soon came and helped Griff. An Hour later, they were done.

"Man, I cant believe her" Alyx said.

Then, Snow White came out and said, "I have invited the VF members for a Disneyland halloween spectacular"


Griff, Alyx, Finn, And Maybeck were excited.


2 hours later........

[Striker81]

....Snow White's Halloween spectacular began in earnest. Many attended and all were having a good time, dancing like zombies to Jonathan Coulton's "Re: Your Brains." Griff walked around until he spotted Striker, grabbing some punch at a table.
"Yo, Striker!" he yelled.
Striker looked up and smiled. "Griff! It's been a long time. What's up?"
"You can tell looking outside, can't you?"
"Yeah, this place sure went the distance getting ready for Halloween, right?"
Griff slowly nodded. Striker had thought all the destruction caused was just part of the festivities.
"So, having fun?" Griff asked.
"Yeah. Normally, I don't do stuff like this, but this is great. Sure gets you into the spirit of Halloween, right?"
"Sure does."
As soon as Griff finished his sentence, the music cut off and the place went pitch black. A couple screams could be heard.
"Come on," Striker said calmly. "Now who didn't see this coming?"
When the lights came back on, everyone saw...........

Goofy. He said, in his usual, goofy, voice, "hehehe shucks everyone, I'm real sorry about the lights, i thought it was the elevator switch!" Everyone gigled except griff and striker. Striker tilted his head.
"I don't like it either" said Alyx, emerging from behind them. "Lets take a look." Griff and striker followed alyx through the crowd of guests characters and waiters serving what apeared to be the eyeball soup from the second Indiana Jones movie. The trio emerged from the crowd at the end of the hub, by the bridge to snow whites castle. They tailed goofy into the castle walkway area. About 100 feet ahead, they saw goofy turn to the wall, put his hand on it, and walk straight into, what appeared to be, solid wall. Alyx ran ahead to catch him but it was too late. Goofy was gone.
"Maybe he went upstairs?" suggested Griff.
"Lets check" said striker. The three ascended the stairs. They reached a landing with some light.
"Look," Alyx said, pointing to the ground, "fur. He went this way" They climbed another set of stairs and clambered out onto the roof of the castle. The three looked out onto Disneyland. Griff began to speak,
"Hey, I can see Califor-" Alyx and striker turned to see goofy, now wearing a hooded robe, push Griff off of the castle, then, with an explosion worthy of Fantasmic!, vanish on the spot. The force of the blast sent Alyx to the floor, Striker flew off the ledge, coming to rest on a small landing about 5 feet below.
"GRIFF!!!!" Yelled striker over the ledge.
Griff did not surface.

Griff woke with a start. Where am I? he thought. And why can't I breath? Then suddenly he remembered falling from the castle. I have to get to the surface! He began to swim upwards. There was only one problem, he did not know which way was up! He knew he only had about 30 seconds of oxygen left. His mind began to fog up, Black spots appeared in his eyes. He began to lose conciseness. Suddenly, a bright white light appeared. Is this the end? Griff wondered. He didnt think it would end like this. Then, Griff realized that this white light, was actually real! And about 3 feet away. He swam twords it as quick as he could. He only had 3 seconds left. He flung open the door. Blackout.

"Striker! Are you OK?" yelled Alyx, high atop the windy castle.
"I think so. A broken rib or two. I'll be fine. Let's get down from here and find Griff." replied striker.
"Good idea!"

Did I die? Am I in heaven Griff sat up. He was in a dark place. The last thing he remembered ws swimming through the door. He stood up and walked a few steps, his footsteps echoing in the distance. Obviously, he was in some sort of large storage area underneath the castle. He found a wall and grouped his way around untill he found the electricity breakers. After flipping a few swithces, the lights came on in the enormus, airplain hanger sized room.
Griff could not believe his eyes.

[Disneyland_DHI]

DHI was too busy going land to land to hear anything. Cool as he was in the Kingdom Keepers story, he had become a bit more idiotic when comedy reached him, and to add to the moronicness, Toy Story had brought out the guy's inner-childhood.

He was in the Police Station on Main Street, interviewing helpless characters, shining the Luxo lamp in their faces.

"Alright, Beaker, I know it was you!" DHI said in a French accent so terrible it could be considered racist.
The poor Muppet Labs guinnea pig could do nothing but whimper and meep.
DHI had thought about his meeps and said, "Wait, so you're saying it wasn't you?"
Beaker then shook his head. The next character was Flik.

DHI then asked, "So, Flik... What did you do, get some friends to help you tear up the man's office?"
"Well," Flik said, "technically, he's a mouse, and I'm too small to even steal the key in a matter of seconds!"
"Did you get any friends to help you?"
"No-- Why would I want the keys to the kingdom? I'm perfectly fine living in California Advent--!"
"Are you? Barely anyone is happy in that place!"
"Well, my place there is pretty popular with young ones."
DHI was left speechless, until he said, "You can go."

"Well, well, well... what have we here? So you're the one that everybody's talking about," DHI said to Oogie Boogie. Oogie Boogie, though he was a villain, wasn't really considered one in the villains franchise outside Halloween Screams.
"And what exactly are you going to do with my interview?" Oogie asked.
"I'm going to do the very best I can! And if you aren't a shakin', then there's somethin' very wrong, cause this may be the last time, you hear the--"
DHI was cut off by a needle scratch because he didn't have any words to replace "Boogie" and "song". DHI continued talking, while his karaoke CD of Nightmare Before Christmas was still playing "You're Joking" and said, "You can go."

"SO!" DHI said, now interviewing Mickey. "How do I know that YOU'RE not the one that stole the key? Hmm..?"
"The key was stolen from me..." Mickey said.
"What if YOU stole the key so you could sell it to buy Walt Disney World?!?!?" DHI asked.
"I own Walt Disney World."
"Disneyland Paris?!"
"I own that too."
"HONG KONG DISNEYLAND?"
"That too."
"Shanghi Disneyland?"
"Not done, but I'll own that one."
"Tokyo Disneyland?"
"Nope. Owned by another company."
"AHA! Maybe you were trying to sell the key for that!"
"No, I would never sell the key."
"Not even for Hannah Montana tickets or something?"
"No."

[Striker81]

DHI continued his interrogation when Striker burst into the room. He was relieved to see a familiar face.
"Hey, DHI," he said. "I was wondering when I'd run into you."
"Can't you see I'm working?" DHI asked, seemingly ignoring his greeting.
Striker looked at Mickey, then DHI, then the lamp in his hand shining right at Mickey's face.
"Not really," Striker answered. "Looks more like wasting time to me."
"And why do you say that?" DHI asked, reverting back to his French accent. It was still bad.
"Enough of that," Striker said. "We've got a problem."
"Well, you're finally right on one count," DHI said. "Earlier, Mr. Mouse had the keys to the kingdom stolen right out of his office. I've been holed up here in the station, trying to find the culprit."
"So to find the culprit, you start interrogating the victim?" Striker asked.
"That's what I've been saying," Mickey said.
"That's enough from the both of you," DHI said, getting a little frustrated. "This is an important matter. If those keys fall into the wrong hands, this park could be in some serious trouble.
"But," DHI continued, "what's so serious that you have to interrupt my investigation?"
"Griff's missing," Striker said. "And we still haven't been able to find him."
"That's it?" DHI asked, almost condescendingly. "You barge in here because you can't complete your game of hide-and-seek?"
"There's a little more to it than that," Striker said. "See, we were trailing Goofy when..."
"Goofy?" Mickey asked. "Why were you following him?"
"I'm not sure exactly," Striker continued. "But come to think of it, the missing keys, the blackout at the party, Goofy's strange behavior. It's all becoming too fishy to be a coincidence."
"Listen, Striker," DHI said. "I'm the investigator here. I'll handle all the speculating."
"There's no time for this game, DHI!" Striker retorted, all business. DHI was taken aback a little. "Sorry. You're right, the keys are a big matter, but I fear it's only one cog in the machine. Something big's going to happen to Disneyland and right now we've got a front row seat. We need to find out what's happened to Griff and where Mickey's key is, and fast. And we need your help, DHI."
"Well, since you asked so nicely," DHI said, a little sarcastically, "I guess we can search for Griff. So where did you last see him?"
Striker led DHI and Mickey to the castle where he, Alyx and Griff were following Goofy.
Meanwhile.........

Griff looked down the rows and rows of identical, off-white rockets. They each had three fins protruding out of the back, and a red capped nose cone. What is this place? Griff wondered. Griff turned to face a large hanger wall that had faded letters which said, fireworks storage unit. Griff turned his attention to each of the rockets. It was unlike the disney company to use rockets, even for fire works. Griff ran his hand along a rocket and somthing caugt his eye. painted on the side of each rocket in the warehouse was a symbol that made Griff instantly realize the truth. This isn't a fireworks storage unit. The symbol looked like this

The symbol for nuclear radiation. He stepped back. Then he realized that the stands holding the rockets in place, were not actually stands. They're launch tubes! Then from the far corner, griff heard a slight woosh. He rushed over to the sound. A missle was missing from its tube.
Disneyland just fired a nuke

It ended up into the Pacific Ocean, where Marlon, Nemo, Bruce, and Dory were heading to Disneyland.

"Just keep swimming. Just keep Swimming" Dory was singing

"Yeah like 100 miles" Marlon Said.

Meanwhile, Griff and Alyx............

...continued to search for each other, not knowing where the other was.
Alyx continued to search outside the castle grounds when Striker showed up with DHI and Mickey. Striker had told Alyx he noticed lights on at the police station and that he would go to investigate.
"There you are," Alyx said. "So did you find out anything?"
"About Griff, no," Striker said, "but I did find a couple friends."
"Striker told me the three of you were following Goofy," Mickey said. "Can you tell me why?"
Alyx told Mickey of Snow White's Halloween party, when the lights went off and Goofy appeared out of nowhere. He said the three of them were suspicious and followed him to the roof, where he uncharacteristically tried to dispose of Griff and disappeared without a trace.
"And that's where we're at right now," Alyx concluded. "What's more, there's that thing that was seemingly fired out of the castle not too long ago."
"Fired out of the castle?" Mickey asked.
"So that was that 'whoosh' we heard while in the station," DHI remarked.
"Yeah," Alyx continued. "I thought it was a firework at first, but it didn't go off."
"Man, strange things just keep piling up on us," Striker said. "Mickey's key, the party, Goofy and now things being fired out of the castle."
"Hmm," Mickey said, thinking outloud. "There's no place in the castle that anything like Alyx described could be launched, but there is somewhere underneath."
"Under the castle?" DHI asked.
"Yes, but there's no way to get there without the key."
"Then that means whoever launched that thing is who we're looking for," Striker said.
"Let's hurry," Alyx said. "Lead the way, Mickey."
The four raced to the castle's basement when...........

Disneyland opened for today. Guests stormed in thru Main Street making it harder for everyone to find each other. Alyx was in Critter Country when he bumped in to Finn.
Finn looked very happy as he approached Alyx.
