I generally sketch in blue or red pencil and then use a regular pencil to clean up. That's about the extent of my coloring.

Well, he's half right. The name Maleficent is made by combining two similar words. It sounds something like the first name Millicent, but it's a combination of the the word "malefic" (an old word for "misfortune") and "beneficent" ("generous"). Maleficent is generous when doling out misfortune, so it's a really clever name.

I've done some graphic design work for the VF Store, depicting stylized representations of rides and such, from Splash Mountain to the Haunted Mansion etc.

People often make fun of this picture because his lips look too big... but if you look at the picture I based it from, thats how it looks! And lots of artists can agree with me (hopefully) that lips are not fun to draw!

compared to....

I know it's not perfect but I think I got a pretty good likeness... don't you?

Actually, I love drawing lips! Very telling of the character! Of course, I do caricatures, so nothing is normal. But even with facial studies (using a model) I've always enjoyed the lips... Random! YES!

I was just commissioned to do a Mary Poppins portrait. I'll be sure to post it when it's finished!

Well like I said "(hopefully)" lol. For me at least its not the easiest because I try to get the same lips not exaggerated ones lol. I applaud you though, caricatures are not that easy lol. I am also in the process of a Disney Villain..... good ol' Chernabog! :) I love that guy XD

I will DEFINITELY post him when I'm done :)
