Question Universal Studios Front of the Line Passes

Hey everyone! I need some advice! Ok well I am in the middle of finalizing plans for our honeymoon, and our first stop is Universal Studios. I haven't been there in a few years, and my fiance has never been. Well I am going to be purchasing my tickets online, and I wanted some advice first. First of all, has anyone ever bought the Front of the Line Pass? It sounds really awesome, and we get a free AP with purchase. The price per ticket is $79.99.
Are they worth paying that much? A normal, non SoCal ticket is like $54.00, and they are doing the buy-one-day get a year free. Would that be a better way to go? The only thing with that is the normal ticket doesn't have as many perks as the front of the line pass does of course. Does anyone know how much SoCal admission is into Universal? They don't list the price online, beacause you have to show proof o residence. Hmmm... I am quite confused, and any imput would be appreciated! Thanks Everyone!

I have done the front of the line passes, and on crowded day, man are they nice (Espesually for the Studio Tour). If you purchuse the front of the line pass, you may also turn it into a free year long pass. If your going during the "Busy Season" I would HIGHLY recommend the Front-of-the-Line Pass.

Never heard of that, is it like a fastpass? How does it work?

Yeah, I think Front-of-the-Line Passes are kind of like FastPass passes, except that you buy it at the gates and there's no time requirements for you to show up. That's what I think.

Yeah thats what it is kinda like. You dont wait in line for anything, and you get priority seating at shows and such. I think I am going to go for that... it seems like it would be the best way to go.

^ If only Universal would build decent enough attractions so them alone would attract guests & wouldn't have to rely so much on giving the gate away & skip the line bribery to get the turnstile clicks. Oh well, that's what happens when you base yourself entirely off movies.
